My favorite ting that im glad the have is the game center. I wonder if gameloft will use it to replace gameloft live. This proves that apple reconizes that idevices are full fledged gameing devices.

 

my guess, no. Big companies wont switch YET. I mean its gameloft, have you ever seen a Gameloft update? Why would they go back and change it?

I wonder what the deal is with this seemingly arbitrary 2160 figure? I'm trying to crunch a few numbers but it still doesn't make sense. Even if folders are limited to 16 apps (same as one normal page of apps), that should still equal over 30,000 given 11 pages of nothing but folders.

 

there can be max 180 icons at once, if 12 apps can go in a folder you get 2160 :/

This update is pretty unimpressive. Apple needed something to put the iPhone ahead of the competition, but this is a "catch me up" release and they aren't caught up all the way. Even though the Game Center is a direct take from XBOX Live and PSN, it's still a pretty cool feature to put on the iPhone. Kudos to them for that. In the end, Android is still a better operating system offering more choices, more features, and more freedoms, and I doubt the new iPhone model will be able to keep up with everyone in the Open Handset Alliance that produces hardware for Android. Apple needed to deliver more than this to stay in the game.

 

LMAO! sorry but Android is sh*t, why use a second rate OS when you can use the best?

The competition still falls far behind Apple OS3, now Apple has just incresed the gap by miles and miles with OS4, the others are the ones playing catchup, sales figures for the devices show this! all the other mobile os's combined don't even make up HALF of the Apple OS market, says it all really......


And don't get me started on the crap apps/software the android has, its a laughing stock compared to the appstore, funny to see the android fanboys trying to defend their devices though lol.

 

This Sire is Touch arcade(Ze Forum for iPhone, iPod touch & iPad which run on Mac OS X for iPhone alone), not an Android Forum....
