Exactly. While I'd still prefer a 3rd person action game like Iron Man 2, this can still be a fun game. A bit disappointing, but I'm willing to give this a chance. Hopefully there will be other playable characters (which I won't name as to avoid spoilers).
I love how, in a comic book website I frequently check, there's not a single negative comment about this game - everyone is glad just for this not being a SEGA-like Iron Man game - and yet most of everyone here is raging having seen nothing but a 40-seconds trailer...
Because we know the potential better than them, as this is an iOS game forum. We're all aware of how good (atleast I thought it was) ironman 2's game was, so to go back to the endless flyer of ironman 1/ green lantern is pretty crappy. I will say that the sense of speed during some parts of the trailer looked pretty cool. But the fact that it is definitely an endless flyer kinda turns me off. I'll keep an eye on it but I'm not too psyched about it anymore.
Another endless runner type? Really? What a suprize! On the oher way I've should have seen this comming. New name for the app store: the endless runner store. Edit: even better: the crap store.
I dont mind the concept. The look of Ironman collecting flashy red gems seems too arcadey for the character tho. Plus the animations look stiff as hell. Yes I know he's "iron" but he still moves and corrects himself in the air. From the short trailer this Ironman has no personality. Might be fun gameplay tho
Am i the only one who likes this? I loved Verticus and this looks like 10 times better than that. Looks pretty varied, looks chaotic (in the best of ways), and a balance of speed and action for a flight runner is win to me.
I was expecting an improved version of Batman with characters from Iron Man, but it seems that period is over. Now Connector will say that this will be freemium, and he will be right again, I'm that sure.
Well, gotta wait for one of those birdies to poop on my head so I have another revelation. I am hoping they make it a 99 cents with very optional inapps like costumes and the such.
A 10x better Verticus might not be so bad. Especially if it works with the Gameloft Duo Gamer Joystick. I will remain optimistic as you are that it will be a good fun game.
Wasnt really trying to be optimistic. I actually liked what i saw in the video. Sure it's not what we expected, and not exactly what i wanted for an Iron Man game to be, but if they pull off a decent game, im all in. In fact... i watched the video like 4 or 5 times already.
They turned Iron Man into an endless runner?!? Wow... I predict this will be freemium; with respect to endless runner fans that genre is rarely deep enough to charge premium tier pricing.
True. It'll probably be freemium after a while. But we'll see. It'll also depend on how good the game is, as it is.
