3rd gen would be very laggy. If it would even come to 3rd gen ipods it would be almost impossible to play. I do think 4 gen would work tho.
It's like a walk into the past when I revisit this thread, always hopefully. Months have gone by; anything yet?
The good news is, that we are working hard rather then doing much forum updates. We have a full set of platforming levels now, although, some need some decoration work. They also have multiple difficulties with different geometry. There are 75 platforming levels equally divided between 5 cars. There is an easy mode similar to casual mode JCS1, then a medium mode, then hard mode that has more gaps, bigger jumps, various other changes. The odd check point might be completely different. And that is just the platforming mode. Actually True Skate is more laggy on the 4th gen compared to the 3rd because of the retina display. I'm not sure what JCS2 is like yet, it has been a while since I have tested it on those devices.
No concrete date, any estimation I give will not be accurate, but I assume it is at least a few months off still, but the good news is, we are actually moving a long on it. Most of the reasons for the delays in the past has been due to distractions with other projects, changes at True Axis, and not having enough resources, but apart for a small True Skate update we just did, we are mostly focused on JCS2 now.
It was my favorite game on iOS with Galcon Fusion being a very close second. But those have swapped places now that openfeint shut down and we don't get to race against other player's shadow runs anymore. It has lost some of it's replayability IMHO. It is still one of my favorite games though. I just don't play it as much now. I miss being able to play against my daughter's shadow runs and vice versa. I am really upset at Openfeint because of it. I realize it is not True Axis's fault that we no longer have it.
Yeah, we are moving along. Been doing a lot of work on level polish, and making all the user level sharing stuff work well. Hoping to have it ready towards the end of this quarter.
That would be a wonderful surprise, and one of the best bits of iOS release news ever, IMHO. Can't wait to play!
Still making our minds up about that. Probably a lot sooner then last time. We are just finishing off True Skate android, and a lot of the code is shared so it should be easier this time.
How much longer? Could you give an estimate? Like New Year or Christmas or a month? Sorry, JUST SO EXCITED
Same here. I thought there was some new news. Anyway I can't wait for this game. Part one was a true iOS classic
