Oh my. I get to download the new Sorcery this week and then THIS next week?! What a fabulous month for game book fans!
Anyone know how much each episode will cost? Also, does anyone know if the episodes will be split into different apps or IAPs?
In a comment on the developer's site it says that a season pass can be purchased to obtain all the acts at a reduced price, so it sounds like all the acts (episodes) are contained within a single app as IAPs.
It loads on iPod 4G but the framerate in the combat sections is really choppy so it's very hard to play. That's why we prefer to consider it as not included in list of the supported devices, along with iPhone 4. Yes, you're right. All the Acts will be included in a single app with updates but only the first one will be released next week. The other Acts will be launched next year.
Just wondering for the season pass, what progress has been made on the other 3 episodes and what are expected times between releases?
It will be aligned to the other games of similar quality on the store. Also, it will be possible to buy the Season Pass at a discounted price to receive the other Acts when available.
This is an interesting topic. You could take Telltale games approach to The Walking Dead by making the app itself and the first Episode free. In my opinion, I reckon the best option is to just make the app free and then you buy the season pass and each Episode as an IAP, since the high entry price would discourage many IOS customers. About the First Episode, I am not sure if you should make it free or not, depending on how many episodes you are going to release and your target group.
The Walking Dead app and first episode wasn't free at release. They only changed it to free much later when the full game was complete. Here is the original pricing, copied directly from Telltale's announcement... "Once youve purchased this episode for $4.99 USD, you can then opt to purchase future episodes individually for $4.99 from within the application, OR you can pre-purchase the rest of the series as a Multi-Pack [Episode 2-5 Bundle] for $14.99, saving you a total of 25% off the cost of buying episodes 2-5 individually."
We can't say much about the price and the marketing strategy before the launch, but I think that the publishing price will be fair for a game of this quality and scope. The Walking Dead by Telltale has the same business model and we took inspiration from it for Joe Dever's Lone Wolf.
Today we'd like to start the countdown for the release of the first Act of Joe Dever's Lone Wolf. As you already know the game will be published on November 14th, so we're only five days away! The book that you can see in the picture is taken from the introduction of the game.
It's Sunday, so we're four days away from the launch of the first Act of Joe Dever's Lone Wolf. In the picture you can find one of the hand drawn illustrations that you're going to find in the game. They're also animated!
Hello, Very earlier in this forum, you talked about a passive fighting system. The player would have more of a chance to block or parry if enough energy was present. Has this changed, or does the player have more direct control over blocking and parrying. Also, I forgot to ask about one of the pictures on page one of this forum. The picture shows blue circles highlighting the weapon Lone Wolf is holding, the large sword strapped to his back, as well as the object ( throwing knives??) on his hip. Do these orbs appear all the time like that or only for special moves? What is happening there? Thanks
