I asked them if I can run it at 2560x1440 and they said no problem. I don't think they used any special assets for that screenshot, the textures seem to be good enough to support such high resolutions - and the iPad 3 or iPad 4 should have the power. We render our stuff to be ready for iPad Retina resolution. I remember the drama when iPhone 4 was out and all the moaning about games not supporting it. We will be ready and I see no reason why they should not use the native resolution of what they are running on.
Wow! That front page video is amazing and brings me back to my early computer days. I will buy and play this when it's released!
I wonder how fast he is with a mouth stick. Would be pretty frustrating being able to control the game but not being able to actually play it
That's a great story and it just makes me want this game more. I honestly haven't anticipated a game as eagerly as this since I drooled for 'Elite' on the BBC Micro back in 1984! I hope this title lives up to all its promise and makes the developers very rich indeed! Jamie.
What a great story! Thanks for bringing it to our attention here. As if this game was not enough of an insta-buy already...this is a developer I want to support.
Resembles old good memories!Must buy for me!But i am still dived into Fallout New Wegas on pc. But this can be an amazing in-bed gaming experience with ipad right after finishing NW.
Really hoping they didn't bring over the food/starvation mechanic from the original DM. Almost a game breaker, it was...
I never had a problem with the original DM, since we could eat so many of the creature remains we killed (well, at least one of them eheh), I always thought there was plenty of food to go around.
I'm really excited about this game too, but you're better off following them on their blog. It was just updated on February 17th. http://www.grimrock.net/
Wow, this game looks great - incredible looking textures, models, and animations! And the implementation of the movement buttons for that one player was awesome.
