Game Center support should mean organising games and tournaments will be pretty easy. I think I'm going to have to submerge myself in single player for a week though before being brave enough to venture online.
1st Generation support confirmed by one of the guys who works at WoTC https://twitter.com/m_mccall/status/212325241463111680
over the last days i collected some information i wanted to share with you: - june 20 worldwide release for 10$ - 10 decks with 30 unlockable cards each (i saw an achivement for unlocking 30 cards in one deck) - 1 paper promo card depending on the platform (Serra Avatar on Steam and iPad, Primordial Hydra on XBox, and Vampire Nocturnus on PlayStation Network.) - plus 5 random paper promo cards in a special small booster pack that you can pick up at a magic shop - youtube user "wingspantt" has some graet gameplay videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/wingspantt?ob=0 - no planeswalker cards in duels 2013 - lots of spoilers on the wizards columns: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Archive.aspx?tag=Column can't wait
I'm not native to these iPad shores....Just jumped on to say screw you, stupid massive tablet wielders, hope it crashes on start up. Am obviously joking , but, I genuinely hope, like really, really hope, that this is coming to the iphone as well!!!
iPad article on Duels Here is an article published earlier today by Max McCall, who is a designer for the project. It addresses the development specifically for the iPad. I saw the tweet posted earlier and various articles, but did not see this one posted yet. I apologize in advance if this has already been posted: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/200
My guess would be that if you live in Germany, for instance, it should be released by 6pm. That's just an estimate as I'm basing it off of eastern standard time and guessing that it will be released by noon here on the east coast.
Looks like Steam is releasing the PC version at 1pm EST. They have a countdown clock on their store page.
Huh. Wonder when the iPad version will drop then, if Steam is at 1? Strange that they're not doing a normal iOS release, though I won't complain... not at ALL.
hahah, true enough! And like I said, if it means we get the game TODAY, they could release it by farting the national anthem through a tuba with a naked Octomom in the background (ugh, I'll never shake those images) and I'd run in using that sexy slow motion cliche love scene where I'm running towards the farting tuba and apparently it's taken on a Monty Python style with legs and is running towards me.. So... I don't think I got enough sleep last night. Doesn't help that this is my most anticipated game since S&S, Carcassone and Ticket to Ride...
Speaking as a New Zealander, I'd rather that means everyone gets it at the same time as we normally would, rather than us all having to wait.
