More like Particle type games. I got Falling Sands already and it's pretty crap compared to the upcoming game called The Sandbox that I'm beta testing now (I love it!). I'm considering Aqua Forest (The original one has a nice little freeplay in it with particles similar to OE cake.) I don't like the Phyzios free app though, it's a bit laggy and limited. GTA? Nah I got China Town Wars already. Order and Chaos? Nah I play WoW on the PC EDIT: This thread is going to have tough decisions. I have many games, and I'm always looking for more suggestions.
fall of angels is on sale for 99c and is pretty good (turn-based) Arpgs - Mage Gauntlet AurumBlade Crimsonheart Across age dx Pocket Rpg for iPhone Destinia TbStrategy - Glwg Battlefor Wesnoth Squids War of Eustrath Shining Force Jrpg - Ash(2) Dragon Fantasy Vay Guardian Saga Phantsy star
- Minecraft PE. - Junk Jack. - Galaxy on Fire 2. - Aquaria. All top sandbox style games. There's a good deal of strategy I've found in Conquist 2. Just finished up a pretty intense game against two ai on the world map (other maps are solid too) where I went from owning 85+% of the map and conquering one of the opponents, to losing and being overwhelmed at almost the blink of an eye. It made me realize just how much thought you have to put into every single adjustment made. Just the way I like a good tbs game; one wrong move can turn the tide. It looks beautiful too might I add. A very well executed game with a small file size. Can't go wrong. Will hit you up on an async game shortly...sent you some questions I needed help on first so I'm a little more comfortable playing online in Starbase Orion.
Can anyone suggest me a few really fun games? I feel like I need something new to play right now, but can't really think of any games (from where I'm looking) that appear really fun. Any help? Generally I don't like games with hefty RPG (not counting TBSs), Match 3, or TDs (though I like a few). All suggestions are welcomed.
It's been a long time since I've been on here...and I got kinda curious. I am content with my games on my 2nd Gen iPod now, but am wondering if there are some really good gems. I don't mean those like Infinity Blade and all those games focused on graphics and showing off, I mean those that are GAMES. Not something that you pick up and play, then go "eh", something that makes you want to cry when the character dies after putting all their effort into saving a small village and defeating the darkness. Some type of story that makes you feel like the character. Obscure, really.
Final Fantasy Tacticts? Space miner Maybe FF2 or 3 Ash Ravenmark Fall of Angels Crimsonheart Crimson Gem Saga Waking mars Super brothers: Sword & Sorcery Chrono Trigger
I hate Match 3 games, and I never get them. I really like League of Evil 2, but you probably already have it. (This is not really a few) Awesome games: Ace Rider (Originally Fat Head) Reckless Racing 2 Pocket God Super Crate Box First Touch Soccer (They made a new and better soccer game, but I don't remember the name). Stick Stunt Biker Bean's Quest Mage Gauntlet Extreme Road Trip Pixel Ninja Pocket Tanks TextNow (Obviously for texting, not gaming) Jelly Car 1, 2, & 3 Rocket Bits (It's not done yet, but the fun is that you can help make it). Draw Race 2 Mos Speedrun Home Sheep Home 2 Sword & Sworcery & Sword & Sworcery EP Minecraft Pocket Edition Fancy Pants Scribblenauts Mad Skill MX or Moto X Mayhem Modern Combat 3 Alpine Crawler Trenches 2
Already have that...if you didn't see subtle reference. Also: Edit: Although short, Today I Die Again somewhat had the effect I was looking for. And I don't like dem rpgs. Remember, 2nd gen compatible.
Aha, I see the reference now, well done sir. Can't think of anything else to recommend for you. Possibly Mage Gauntlet or Dead Space. Games that I think have good stories are Dream:scape, Puzzle Agent, Ash, and Dark Meadow. Edit: I have no idea about 2nd gen compatibility sorry.
Grabbed MEI, ABS, and Plants War so far this week. Are any of the other releases tonight any good? They're literally 10 new puzzle games, which are as "been there, done that" as it gets. Sminis is the only one that looks pretty cool, but there are five posts in the game thread..thinking about TwinSpin as well.
Sminis is awesome! I just posted an impression. I doubt you won't like Monster Flip, even though it's part of the vast match 3 genre. It's definitely not you typical match 3 game, looks amazing, and has a pretty killer soundtrack if you're into the whole cartoony alien/monster stuff. I don't think there's really think there's anything like Pebble Universe on the AppStore. I've played too many games and can't even keep track anymore. And I'm pretty sure the only thing Coco Loco has in common with other games is the base mechanics. I'm downloading it now. (Angry Birds derived from Castle Clout and Crush the Castle) Adventure Bar Story seems to be pretty great, but I doubt it'll blow me away. Downloading... Cavorite 2 speaks for itself. It wouldn't be Cavorite if the changed everything. That's like asking for Mega Man 2 to become a whole new game. No! Sequels build upon their predecessors. TwinGo looks pretty good but that's the only one I'm undecided on. I'll prolly end up getting it anyway. The beta for Lightopus was awesome. It's the combat-centric version of Glowfish. I'm also downloading Plants War. I hear the IAP might be sucky though. If so, that's too bad because it looks amazing. Skipped on MEI. ME3 can hold me over.
Alright, grabbed Sminis because it looked so good. The developer tweeted me a promo code for TwinSpin. I think I'm good for the week. Got the five games I was interested in. Still going to take a look at Apple's new featured list though.
Thinking about Sminis and TwinSpin. I would think about ABS but I have too many RPGs that I haven't actually played. Advice?
TwinSpin is alright. It's a well-made puzzle game, but it's really nothing special imo. It's pretty lacking atm too. No GC and no star system for levels. Sminis is pretty fun. It doesn't make my top 3 for the week though. Performance on the 4th gen. is meh as always is the case with Unreal Engine games. ABS is really, really good though. My GOTW. Great JRPG for the iOS. Can't believe they're selling it for $0.99. People are definitely buying it. Already in the top 20 on the paid charts, a rarity for iOS RPGs.
Try out Pebble Universe - also released this week and it's a bit disheartening to see it getting looked over. It's one of my favorite releases this week. (Though I haven't tried Coco Loco or TwinGo! yet.)
