As I said, "I have those two and I still want for a good pinball game." Yes, I have WWP and FBallin. =)
Sorry about that, I skimmed through your post there and didn't see WWP. You're right about the cheap outs, by the way.
I see where you're coming from about wanting a pinball more like the Windows one. WWP is amazing, but it ain't one of those pinballs. You should check out Pinball Casino Madness, it's "sort of" what you're looking for. The physics are a bit iffy, but not unplayable. It's not the fanciest ever, but it's got much more going on than WWP. And it's only $1 right now. Also Pinball Dreams is amazing, but it's $5 so not sure how committed you want to go. It's my second favorite pinball for sure. I don't really mind the cheap drain outs in WWP, I mean at least we're not paying quarters to play it. Part of the fun is the excitement of having a really good game going and doing everything you can to keep it up. The cheap drain outs are almost enjoyable in a masochistic kind of way. Like dying in Rogue Touch, you laugh it off, grind your teeth a bit, and hop right back into it. I'm addicted to WWP, and this game looks freakin sweet as well. Oh and it's coming out for $3.99 with 6 tables, they said so a few pages back.
Pinball Casino Madness has a lot more action than Wild West Pinball and Freeballin'. Since the recent update, it is completely "playable," not like it was before. It has a lot of targets and bumpers, and also multi-ball. Sound effects, lights, and music are much better than just about any pinball in the app store. If you are interested, you should pick it up while it is still a buck...
IMHO the ZEN tables "Rollercoaster" and "Inferno" (for iDevices) are the most similar ones to the very well known Space Cadet (for Windows).
Ouch, it all makes sense now. Imagine, for a second, if you were one of these App Store reviewers. You would likely try to convince your boss, "Hmmm, I really think I need to spend a little more time on this one, just to make sure nothing funky happens once all achievements are completed." You figure the second he lets this game through it's back to the standard toil of an endless barrage of slide puzzles and fart machine apps.
What a job they must have. Getting paid to play games all day. I wonder if they will like the farting dog in the game...?
I'd LOVE to see them reject your app for something that trivial even though the App Store has 100's of Fart Apps.
With the App review's insane inconsistency it reminds me a bit of going to the DMV for your driving test and HOPING you don't get the big fat nasty DMV bureaucrat who hates life and newbie drivers especially!
Well lets hope they are quick. How long does it normally take Apple to authorise? Do you reckon they may feature the app? Hope it attracts as many players as our Iron Maiden - Flight 666 online game 210,000 in three days! http://www.ironmaiden.com/games/flight666/ I'm off on holiday for a long weekend in Wales (GB) after a very hard week. Speak soon
Have we got an ETA on this? I've been looking forward to it for a while, thought it would be out by now.
I know what you mean. I also wish apple would hurry up. How long does it normally take Apple? I had a dream the other night that the game had been authorised, sadly I woke up and this was not to be Hurry up Apple.
I also wonder if they've pulled a lot of the regular "approvers" off to work on the final OS v3.0 push?
Wow, that sounds more like a nightmare! It seems to be kind of a crap shoot with the approval process, I've seen devs post "just submitted to Apple, should be out in the next couple weeks" and then *presto* it appears the very next day. Then you'll see apps that are submitted and take over a month to come out. Seems like they should have some sort of streamlined system, but sadly that's not the case. Hopefully before the weekend though, I can't wait much longer!
Maybe. It seems to have taken them a long time. We have just produced a version in Italian. Spanish, German and Japanese. If we submit this now, will it delay the release?
At least we know it will be released, sometime, hopefully soon. I'm still really excited for this one and can't wait to review it.
