I noticed you've had quite a few lag outs, but I haven't had any problems my self so far. Still, it's 1000x better than Game Center multiplayer
Yeah, now getting that thing that EP was reporting, about crashing to join. Doing a hardboot now. Geez, maybe it's a good time to take a bathroom break. This is alot of fun, love the multiplayer aspect, gotta look at all the upgrades, haven't done much, like EP's plasma energy thing, that is really cool.
I'm not sure but I think it gets tough to join a game when: - the initial host has died and the "joiners" are now hosting. - you are trying to jump in during a chaotic moment to be the 4th soldier Most other times it works like a charm
It's easier getting to higher levels cause these guys are good and more powerful than I. Whenever I get low on health, they can have my back which is nice.
There's a good variety of enemies that can make combat varied as you fight each of them according to their weaknesses somewhat, and you have dodges and a cover system that works to keep you moving at all times. Singleplayer has 30 missions. But like all realtime dungeon crawl-ish and dual stick-ish games, singleplayer can get a little repetitive. I like how you can get maxed out on stuff and still panic when about to die... That's good balancing IMO, as long as it isnt impossible.
There's no AI partners, but the enemy AI is phenomenal. There's a 30 mission campaign which can be played solo or multiplayer, as well as a button for a quick play mission, also solo and multiplayer. But the good news is that the coop is drop in drop out, not game center, so all you have to do is click the "Join" button and a list of every online game being played will show up and you just click one and join!
Single player is quite fun, though harder for me, though i haven't really upgraded weapons or other upgrades, so that may be why. But multiplayer is really fun, really adding a cool component to it.
Nah, I have been playing with two other guys, one is my level and another is Echoen (from the forums here I suppose). He's 5 levels or so above me but it seems when he joins me, I get more xp and whatnot at the end. Solo I'm doing quite well because I basically have infinite grenades after maxing out the last specialist skill lol.
Hate the crashes going into co-op but it's an incredibly fun game! I love how you can reset weapon upgrades for free
