Loved it man thank you very much! This is going to be a great album that's for sure. Especially loved their new vocals at 3:54 hahahaah jk
Shit with as fast as this year has gone by and as quick as shit's been going (at least for me) January will be here in no time >.<
Yeah a ton of good ones came out. I'm definitely excited for next years releases though. Good stuff in the works! And it probably went slow for you cause your still a youngling. *pinches cheeks* LMAO
: DDD Maybe. Anyway, got any stuff similar to this? The slowness and the atmosphere would be the most important. :>
Wow... that song wasn't directly influenced by Pink Floyd or anything >.> lol Ever taken the time to listen to "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd? If you like that song you would pretty much love that entire album. Edit: I mean you probably won't like the Album, it's a rock album. But that song you posted sounds like it was directly influenced by Floyd all the way. It was awesome too. But other than that I'll have to think, I can't think of any straight albums like that.
Toobad. I love this album. It's my relaxing stuff before sleep, so yea, I'd love a whole album similar to this. And yea, I know that Pink Floyd album, there might even be a vinyl of it around. : D EDIT: Maybe something else for the same purpose? : D
Yeah it's a stellar album. Good shit to listen to when going to sleep/relaxing. Just downloaded (finally) 01011001. So far it's magical as shit. As for suggestions going to sleep in the vein of soft atmospheric stuff, I would suggest my all time favourite lullaby album, "Damnation" from Opeth but you already know that one I am sure. Next would be Kid A by Radiohead, but that's not metal. As far as metal stuff goes, "Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory" by Dream Theater. I know they arn't your favourite band but that's a great album. Cool concept album as well. And relaxing. *shrugs* I don't know too many relaxing things in the light of metal lol
Ah, that doesn't sound good. Maybe I'll use Actual Fantasy from Ayreon too, also a slow one. Glad you like 01011001, awesome album. Over 30 musicians on it I think. >.> Maybe comment on the tracks individually? : D
hahaha that would take me a while to comment on the tracks individually. And I have reports to run today so I can't be hogging all my time on the net as much as I wish I could ^.^ So far it's just a great f*cking album. And yeah I can tell there was a lot of work to be done on this album. So many vocal contributions ahahahahaha
Then he and I have all too much in common. You don't have to know that stuff to write amazing music. Or have such a diverse music style. Like he does. That's just awesome to me.
Yeah, I just don't know how he tells the guests what to play. BTW: Still like 01? 'Cause the best song is the last one. : D
It's very trying, trying to explain how to play music when you barely know notes. I am sure he knows chords and stuff like that, and the notes to play, he just can't read sheet music. If he doesn't know how to do any of that, it's even more difficult trying to explain that stuff. But from the sounds of it, he has music theory, and that's all it takes with a little composition. That whole CD was fantastic. The last song was undoubtably the best one though, no doubt.
Well, IDK how much he knows. All I know is that I know nothing. : D Yeah, and the 'make us whole, migrator soul' part is my favourite of it. : D
Lucassen's music just makes me realize that everyone in metal should include Hansi's vocals in at least evey song they make.
Haha, true. Many people did though, see Therion. Anyway, great looking band just announced: Symfonia. Timo Tolkki, Andre Matos, Jari Kainulainen, Uli Kusch and Mikko Harkin. (Ex-Strato guitarist, Ex-Angra singer, Ex-Strato bassist, Ex-Masterplan drummer and Ex-Sonata Arctica keyboardist.) Album release next spring. Sounds fun, eh?: D
