Man, who's DMT in the leaderboards? I'm 2nd in both modes, would love to know who's the skilled DMT. Whoever it is must be in the top 10 on Minigore as well I'm assuming.
I have another question: The bonuses that you pick up during play have so far been Bombs and slow (the ones I managed to identify while frantically trying to stay alive). Are there any bonuses that give a life back or recharge health? I suppose, I just have to practise some more, but so far I am having trouble getting off the first world . It would be great to have a full list of bonuses as well.
Pretty sure I've seen both a life bonus as well as a shield. There is also a coin one that pulls all the coins towards your ship.
Ah, DMT is one of the guys here in our office. I guess it's not really fair since we've been playing the game for a few weeks already =D I'll take down that score asap.
Here's a full list of bonuses: - LIFE: extra life - BOMB: extra bomb - SHIELD: recharges your shield - RINGS: causes rings to automatically suck into your ship - SLOW: bullet time-esque slow motion
Well either way works. If it's left up there, it gives me an idea of how much better I should be playing. But ultimately it's up to you guys.
I'm pretty sure DMT is hyung, who is one of the devs and is active in this thread. He said his personal best is 2.5 million, so that must be him. There is most definitely a life bonus. They're not as common as 'bomb' and 'slow' bonuses, but they do exist. BTW devs, all my assumptions about this game turned out to be right. It really is by far, the best top down/space-shooter on the iDevice. I love everything about it. The controls, the weapons/upgrades (especially the gravity gun), the levels, the global rank auto-updating, everything. Great, great job. I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who even remotely likes dual-stick shooters. You will not regret buying this.
this game is awesome! #7 on the leaderboards.... for now. I can't seem to get the hang of the gravity gun. Practice makes perfect, I guess.
That one is actually a lot of fun! I grab an asteroid, line it up with the boss and let go. It does massive damage. In the video the player was swinging the rock around like a morning star. Is that an ability you get as you upgrade the gravity gun?
Ah, no, we already took down Hyung's score. He's #31 on the leaderboards now =D. We were having a little in-house competition, and we were getting scores in the range of 2.5 - 3 million. Thanks Squirt!
Nope, you don't have to upgrade to swing stuff around. To swing, try moving perpendicularly to the rock you want to pick up while using the gravity gun to capture it. And then move the ship around in a circle to keep it swinging. We designed the game so that you don't have to use the gravity gun at all if you don't want to. But if you want to get the highest scores...
