I've found a helpful trick in 6-1 and now have a score that seems to be as close to perfect as I'm ever going to reach. Knowing the competition here, I expect that someone will beat my score by tomorrow. Also, the Lab Monster/Clear Contacts/Leprechaun Beard combo makes Mikey resemble a sideways Italian flag (Italy, of course, is known for its nearsighted leprechaun monsters).
Oh I was thinking it was local like as in a region or distance from, looking now I see what u mean. in that case damn you mikeg!!!
Andy how did you shave the :02 from 1-1? I'm getting the jump down from the ledge as soon as I slide and it seems close to optimal but not sure.
Lol well least you beating his made up times I'm sure mikeg would be pushing the 27.00 on 1-1 by now if he was competing
After reading this, I played 1-1 again and managed to equal my time. I'm doing the same thing as you guys down that drop, jump as soon as possible out of the slide, as small a jump as possible I think. If your best time is 27.07 then you need to be -.02 at the gate after the jump. It's difficult, but possible.. Good luck 1st on 1-2
Yeah, that would be really cool! But given some of the stuff we already have planned for an update, I don't think a color palette will make it in. That is something we'd definitely consider in a future release.

I'm not seeing this time on the leaderboards yet, but just to be safe I went ahead and got a time of 36.72.
There shouldn't be a difference. As others have pointed out, the key is how you fall (jump) down at the 64% mark. It is hard to get right, but once you do you should be able to shave some time off your 27:20. I think the best I ever did on 1-1 was a 27:08. I did it once, and then could never come close to that time again.
Ha yea altho I'm pretty sure we have that level maxed out almost. The only area that can be shaved is the drop from the high ledge. still trying to shave that :02
It seems that a lot of people are unsure whether they'd like this type of game. So we are thinking of release a lite version of Mikey Shorts with Area 1 unlocked to help them decide. This would be a completely separate app with a link to the full Mikey Shorts in the app store, and that will allow us to avoid having to deal with any kind of FREE -> IAP purchase to get the full, which would blow away the current version of the game (and ratings). That might help us to finally break into the top 100! Again, thanks to everyone that has purchased Mikey Shorts! I know a lot of you had been unsure and took the plunge anyway only to find that you really enjoyed the game.
