We are aiming for a late Summer release and barring any unforeseen problems, I am pretty confident that we will hit that target.
You sure you'll make the late summer release? From what I've seen this looks to be in really early stages. I'm sure I even saw you had pokemon NPC Overworlds, so I'm guessing you can't have art for your maps yet right?
The creatures look great but I want to see a gameplay video, screenshot of the player in the world or info on the battle system before I make a certain judgement
We have spent the past month really polishing and working hard on the battle scene, I am happy with the way everything is coming together and I am ready to share some images from that part of the game: These shots are from the iPad 3, Make sure you check the full size screenshots out to see the art at its actual resolution (Did we mention Monimals will be Universal?) (Click image for full size screenshots) We are also prepping a video of the battles for you. In Monimals we will be letting you have the option of recording your battles and then sharing them in all their glory on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube via the Kamcord Framework: http://kamcord.com/ I feel that this will bring a massive social aspect to the game and it also gives you a way to compete with your friends for who can get the best kill video.
Looks really nice! I'm a huge fan of the "gotta catch 'em all" style games. The sense of exploration in a world, the thrill of finding/catching a new critter and battle progression is like crack to me. The battle scene looks great and the monsters look just as wonderful. Bravo!
Wow. I've come a little late to the party but after browsing through this forum I am amazed at what I see, and, I think like everyone else on here, I can't wait. I love the creatures that we've seen so far and the fact that your still keeping others hidden, adding to the excitement. PS. If you ever need a beta tester I know a guy (points at self).
Thanks for all the kind words everyone, we are working very hard to make sure this game sees release ASAP but apart from that I can't confirm an exact date yet. Something I don't think was full apparent to everyone viewing the battle images is that all the Skills will have a full tooltip that goes with them to explain what the move does. This tooltip appears when the player holds their finger down over a skill.
Whoa, this is awesome!!! Can't wait for a pocket monster game on my iPad! I'll definitely be staying up until midnight to be one of the first to purchase this when it comes out.
I also gotta commend you guys on keeping us up to date with screenshots and such, it's a very nice change from the developer silence I'm used to.
