What exactly is the objective of the game? Is it get from point A to point B or collect all the coins or will it vary by level?

Nice. Now all that needs to be determined is to see if it is as responsive as League of Evil's... or even better.

    It's going well, thanks!
All of the levels we are shipping with have been created, we are testing and refining for difficulty now and will submit to the app store soon.

An interesting feature we have added is the ability to launch the app from a weblink (or a qr code, 2d barcode thing) - this will launch the game with a downloaded level specific to the link, so we can easily add challenge levels without an app store release, also we can make custom levels that are unique to websites we like. exciting!

we're posting screenshots and news updates to out twitter account.

    cheers,

    Nick

Blimey Nick, I'm not sure I totally understand that new feature. Do you mean you scan barcodes which generate levels, or something? Sorry, I'm probably alone in being very slow this morning! :)

Hi, the levels will be stored on our server, the bar code (or link) , when opened on the iPhone, will automatically cause the game to load and download the level with the id contained in the link. Not sure I am explaining this very well :)

Any option to access the downloadable levels for older devices that don't contain a camera?

Yes definitely, the barcode just translates to a url, so we will always try to have that url as a link along with any barcode (if we use them at all). The idea is that you could be reading a website that has an exclusive level on your PC, then point your iphone at the barcode and scan it, then play the level automatically (assuming you have the game)

    there's a test one on physmo.com but it won't work yet :)

I will most likely pick this up as soon as it's out. I hope the music used in the preview is the same one thats featured in the app. It totally makes you feel like your playing a retro game. I just wish there were some type of weapons used in later levels.

Yep, mark me down for a copy too - this looks like a lot of fun! Kind of like League of Evil, but the levels seem a bit more open and flowy, and obviously it's more about avoiding baddies, than punching and kicking them! :)

Will there be any unlockable characters, by the way?

Hi, yep this is the in-game music, made by the talented Je Mappelle [https://8bc.org/members/Je+mappelle/]

No not in the initial release but now you mention it.... I do want to play as a zombie!

On thing that seems off to me is the stage exit. Instead of running into it you can run past it, and instead of instantly there's a delay before the level ends. Just seems weird to me.

Control is taken from the player the instant the exit is touched, that's just the residual force that keeps the player moving - but let's be honest, it's a UK postbox so we are not exactly grounded in reality here :D
