Glad we're on the same page At this point, users are expecting the newest hotness to run at native resolution. It can partially be blamed on a user's distance from the display. A console is more forgiving in resolution, since a user is farther from the display. That said, I've enjoyed the hell out of games that aren't iPad 3 optimized (including games that I have that are iPhone/iPod only), but perhaps I'm more forgiving on resolution discrepancies than some due to my design background. Don't get me wrong, I love the added resolution on the new display and think it's wonderful for text and image rendering, but I think we need to place less of an emphasis on it when it comes to 3D rendering. The new iPad is indeed a vast advancement over the previous iteration, but the focus on resolution is a detriment in certain usages.
I WISH!! They're only partly customizable. The reload/switch weapon and grenade icons cannot be moved, which sucks for me because they're in a very akward position on an iPad... These are the times when I wish I was back to my old iPod 4 *sigh*
Possible "blonde" question here: Is there a duck/cover button here? If so, where? I'm only about 5 minutes into the campaign, but have seen nothing, and am constantly seeing my squad members ducking behind low cover.
Hows the mp? Not enough credits so can't test. Hackers? OH and MC3 is less hacker-based now! Played with the new iPad and once I got used to it I made a fast nuke! So op... Aiming is way too easy on an iPad
I don't know why everyone's hating on this game so much. I've put in a hour or two into the multiplayer and the campaign, and I have to say that it's prett awesome. The multiplayer is way more fun for me than mc3, if only cause its not who sees the other person first. Much easier to outskill other people. One complain though is that the draw distance on the iPod is tiny compared to the iPad 2. It's kind of an unfair advantage. You can see almost forever on the iPad, and instagib is dumb when people in front of you shoot you because they're too far away for you to see.
