Don't skip the original are you crazy? The plot was something like saving Rolandoland from all those little black monsters. I didn't even finish the first one (too many games), but yeah. Skipping the first one is like skipping a whole day of food and THAT is not good.
I still need to buy the first one but I hope this game is a true sequel and not just an expansion pack.
Trailer is live!! I see 3D-ness!!! EDIT: handcircus confirmed me on Twitter, from 0:45 on it's actual gameplay footage. So Rolando 2 is slightly 3D!!!
Sweeeeett!!! The 3D-ness reminds me of DropShip (although this one is better because of all the color shading). I see new characters (some huge floating character?) and new gameplay elements (something out of Indiana Jones 3? lol). A definite buy from me when it comes out. Im just a sucker for platform games. Hopefully it does come out in Summer though. Rolando 1 was supposed to be out in the summer but it ended up coming out in December I think.
Wow, like the new perspective, and they are really varying the gameplay elements drastically. Glad to see they didn't lay back on their laurels and pushed out another Rolando, this looks like the overall playing experience will be significanly different and even more fun. Really have to sell my 8G and upgrade.
Rolando 2 video looks absolutely awesome. This looks like it will be the best game in the app store by far once it's released. I loved the first Rolando and this looks 10 times better, I can't wait!
That looks really cool. Love the new 3D look, didn't expect that at all. Seems like some interesting new gameplay elements too: the floating big ball guy, the mine train, the cartwheel, the water - float/sink? Man, ngmoco have a sweet lineup for this year...Star defense, LiveFire, Rolando 2 & 3 and probably some others too. Can't wait!
I know this is gonna sound like blasphemy but don't you think it would be cool if you could move without tilting as an option? Like just touching the extreme left/ right of the screen to roll?
has anyone noticed that the teaser was posted under the "$.99" tags on the home page? aren't upcoming games usually not price-tagged, because it's undetermined at that stage? i dont wanna get excited for no reason... though i doubt its that price

yay! Rolando 2 looks awesome I don't really care if it's 2D or 2.5D as long as gameplay is smooth with high framerate
someone please explain to me what is so great about rolando?!?!? hahaha to me its just a stupid idea for a game, rolly things with faces?? haha i got the lite version and tried it out and it just made me more confused as to how so many people love it so much and how its so expensive... i just dont get it... hah but im kidding, i know there are different genres of games that different people like, its all goodddd
