Yeah, I just read the interview with him (Yoshinori Ono, the guy bringing us SSFVI 3D). Apparently, when introducing him to the 3DS, the head of Capcom showed him a 3DS running the demo version of Resident Evil 5 as an indication as to what the machine could do. Now admittedly, it was just the demo version, not the full game, and Resi 5 is probably one of my least favourite games in the series, but it certainly suggests the possibility of a Resi 4 port which would be awesome!

I'm not fussed about and RE5 or RE4 port, I'm just glad this means new, quality RE games are possible. Ideally I'd like them to go back to their roots but I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon.

That's what Resident Evil Revelations is supposed to be (more focus on scares, less on combat)

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the thread yet (didn't pop up in a search), but GameStop is having a pretty sweet trade-in offer on the 3DS. Just put in my pre-order; I'm nowhere near as excited about the 3DS as Omega-F and GDSage, but at $175 it's pretty much a no-brainer.

Only good in the US until 2/20...

Problem with Gamestop's trade-in offer: I don't understand why people would have even bothered buying either of Nintendo's last two DS models, but that's just me, I suppose.

Bestbuy is allowing preorders for $5 down. Amazon, of course, will allow you to preorder for nothing down. Gamestop asking for $50 down in comparision is certainly a turn-off for me.

Bought my DSi (my first DS) at $100 used. I'm trading it in for $75. I don't mind paying $50 for a preorder, since I'm getting the device for $175. That $50 would have earned about penny in interest if I'd kept it in the bank, and if I decide I don't want a 3DS, I get it all back.

So yeah, it's just you, Mr Sunshine.

I pre-ordered one a couple weeks back, really looking forward to getting mine.

You kidding me? £160? OMG, that's cheap 0_0 (Well, in comparision to game prices anyway, this is worth under 6 games...)

Unless currency rates have gone awry and it's actually £200 :p

Has anyone one here went to one of the preview events yet? I'm curious to know what people think of the device after playing with it. If it's a let down or better than expected

I was supposed to go last Sunday, but stuff came up and I couldn't make it :(

Going to try to get to the next one this coming Sunday, but it's a hell of a long way to go to play a 3DS really.

In other news, UK launch titles finally revealed!

So glad I didn't pre-order yet. I might not now.

Hmm, I don't think it's as bad as people say, I'll probably pick up PES and super monkey ball. I don't see the point in buying pilot wings, it should come bundled with the system

They're not terrible, but compared to what is coming out for the platform, it's a disappointing line-up IMO.

True, Mario kart and Zelda both look fantastic. What happened to driver? I thought that was in the launch line up

So what games would everyone like to see then?

    Personally I'd love to see:

    Pokemon
    GTA
    Redsteel
    Mario Galaxy
    Final Fantasy
A good western RPG (Elder scrolls, Diablo etc)

Games like that would put the 3DS well above the NGP

The World Ends With You 2 and the 3DS automatically replaces the 3DS as the best handheld ever invented.
