official worms

I'll say what I say every time a new 2D version of worms comes out for psp/ds/xbox/ps3: I hope they revert back to the old physics system of WA/WWP. I can't stand the new physics system, it is so damn awful and ruins the game for me. Things like doing a backflip and landing on a slanted ledge, in WA/WWP you could jump on pixels, but in the newer 2D ones, you go unrealistically flying off in the opposing direction. And when firing at an enemy worm, they don't react to being hit as well as they did in WA/WWP.
I'll keep my fingers crossed but I'm sure I'll be disappointed since they butchered everything except Warfare on the DS.

 

Looks awesome... price?

Going to get this for sure, feel like I regret getting iShoot and SoldierAnts and they are both good. And I almost bought Snails Reloaded...

I really hope this isn't still in development. Loved Worms Demo p) on my Blackberry and really hoping to get this game on my iPhone. Fun game worth atleast 2.99 on my Blackberry. Just hoping they don't release a totally butchered port on this device.

Why try to fix what isn't broken agghh.
Either way I'll still buy it, just because there is no better alternative.
I get the feeling they tried to make this game appeal way too much to the casual gamer.
Back in the WA days, you had a smaller crosshair and more finite movement which allowed for greater accuracy. It wasn't flashy with graphical bells and whistles and it made the game deep and fun.

My thoughts exactly. I downloaded Snails and it wasn't half as great as Worms.

 

Yeah when Worms drops the show's over for Snails, Soldier Ants, iShoot etc.

 

How much do U think Team17 will want us to Pay ?

 

I'm not sure but if they don't screw it up I'm sure it will be worth every penny

 

The new PS3 version (which is great) is $13 so I'd guess that or $10.

 

If it's a port from the official Worms developer team (Team17), I wouldn't mind paying $9.99 for it. Provided that the graphic and sound still retain their original form.

Worms is awesome. All the other iPod worms-like games are copies and fails.

 

Anyone know when worms is 'incoming' onto the app store?
I bet pocket gamer will steal what I said and put it into their review, lol.

Ya, it will probably be a price around 5,99$; a reasonable price I think. However, if it's more, I don't see why I shouldn't buy Worms!! .
