Is there an ETA on the ultimate iPad edition? I'm waiting for that version before I invest in th game.
we're testing the ultimate version. As I said - the main issue now is performance. We're we-working the whole graphics output to make map scrolling, etc smoother. Bigger monsters are in progress too... The Ultimate version will come out with 21 maps and will cost $5. Plus I think it will be fair to make better in-app deals for it (kind of VIP access discount)
one of the developers (Victor Chirea) has a birthday today. To celebrate it, we have released the Dargon Pass map for free.
jim-ph, any guidance you could give us as to when ver 2.2 might hit the app store? I'm very keen to keep playing, but the loss-of-xp-when-loading-games is a bit of a killer for me...so desperately keen to have it fixed! Thanks, Petrov.
Just to make things more interesting.... Victor finished this map in SEVEN game days. I'm not sure if it was the same map version that we have now or not - but that's a fact
nope, it's not possible due to apple policy and the way in-apps are designed. You have two physically separated in-app stores. the regular version will be patched up around the same time the deluxe version appears. Royal Bounty should be ready together with them as well.
You can play the Palm Heroes 2, its a huge step forward camparison than palm heroes. It is a fighting game and just to play in i pad or computer systems and it will be very heritage proposed by the owner
I find myself suddenly regretting all of my map purchases... I just didn't expect this version to be supplanted so soon. Next time, please consider making the deluxe version an upgrade via in-app purchase. I'm feeling a bit of irritation at the thought of having to buy those maps again.
I didn't mean to sound disgruntled. I will happily buy every version of this game that you release. I was just offering a bit of feedback regarding how you roll out the upgrades. Keep 'em coming, though! The day you can faithfully reproduce HOMM III (with random map generator) I will be embarrassingly giddy.
Well... rolling out: on review right now: PH 2 2.2 update, PH 2 Deluxe 2.2 release. Deluxe features: $5 price tag 20 maps come bundled (the downside for this - you can't update them... they seem to be bugs-free though.) better prices for in-app packs new GUI. We have tried something different this time, let's see if you like it more. Quicksave/quickload feature Will be submitted for review ASAP: Royal Bounty. It is basically the map that you can get from PH2 in-apps, with updated gameplay, and improved game controls (the game goes almost real-time, as one long turn that skips automatically.) And the same new GUI that the deluxe version has. Parallel to that, we've got another work going on: We're preparing the iphone version (NO, it's not easy to squeeze everything back to 480x320. YES, it will be equally playable as the ipad version). And we're porting the game to mac os!
cant wait to buy the deluxe. been playing the Palm Heroes 2 since launch, excited to play 20+ maps for a meager 5 bucks!
