It's all about knocking out specific colored pegs through various obstacles with balls. I would suggest you check out the PC version first to see if this is for you, rather than let the hype drive your purchase.
well if you don't like the genre, this game won't change it. some games like fieldrunners or creeps can make non td fans, td fans. however if your really not a plinko fan, then I would say find another game. it's not a breakthough in iGaming, and hard to say EVERYBODY needs to go pick it up, however if someone thinks they will like it, they probably will. it's not a bad game by any sense, and well executed on the iphone, fans of the gnre should get it. others can make their own decisions. if you like the pc version, then this is a no brainer. if you don't like the pc version, then don't get this. the only diff is using your finger instead of a mouse.
eh, i wouldn't say everyone. i like it, but i played it on the pc enough years ago that I have no desire to go back and replay the whole thing. it's not quite retro enough like digdug to want to go back and revist it enough yet. however it is not for a narrow market of people, many people will enjoy it.

we're lucky to have the exact same game to try out on the pc for free, unlike where we had many tds to try out, but none the same as what we were getting on the iphone. here you are trying, what you are buying. makes it easy to decide. the graphics do offer a "cuteness" more "polished" feel for the game which many will like compared to the numerous clones that have been in the store prior to the release.
