Dubaleww QFT (what does that mean, anyway?)! i played the hell out of this until I basically finished the game.
Me too... For the longest time... Also took me a while to find out that FTW was For The Win and not F*** The World anymore... =oP
I realise I'm responding to a very old post, but jeez, no, *YOU* should have kept an older version stored on either your iPod/iPhone or on your computer. Period. It's not the dev's responsibility to look after your files. Grow up and take some responsibility yourself - the self-entitlement of some people sickens me...
Guess what? The drive I stored my backups just failed. The drive was about 3 months old, tops. The platters spin, but it can't be read. The estimate I got to reclaim my data is 450-1500 USD, depemding on how much of the drive was used (about half, so do the math). Screw you buddy.
Funny, I see your sig says not to lambast you or got on your ass for having a different opinion. What do you think you were doing in your reply to AWP? EDIT: the change doesn't affect me. I just didn't appreciate the way you responded to a fellow TA member, who also happens to be a good (as in not an a-hole) guy. And a TA friend.
Oh, why didn't you say your hard drive had failed. Of course that changes everything. In cases like this where a customer's hard drive fails, it's definitely the dev's responsibility to keep an old outdated app on stand-by, y'know, just in case. Either that, or tell you what, spend the $1500 on getting your hard drive restored, and then just bill the dev for that amount of money. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to reimburse you.
I'm in love with Plunderland.Always liked pirate themed games, and this is more than I ever wanted out of pirate genre - ragdoll physics , beautiful graphic, funny enemies , upgrades, bosses , lots of hidden stuff ...
Sorry to hear you learnt the hard way My computer crashed years back, stupidly didnt have a backup. I bought a backup external drive thinking i was 'safe'. What happens ? A few years later that fails and i lose a lot !! Cost me a LOT of money to recover that drive as i had to send it off Anyway now its all about 'the cloud'. Mega gives you about 50 gig, i'm with dropbox and pay for 100 gig a year. Its great as i can download any PDF's/books/photos/videos wherever i am. But yeah the costs to recover the hard drives are very high, mine was $900 which i had to pay as all my photos etc were on there. But cloud all the way from now on
