I remember the first one, although I never got it. I’ll definitely check out the lite version of the first one to see how I feel about it. I’d like an idle city builder at the moment.

After hearing about this one a few weeks back I tried the free version of the first one but it just kept confusing me and I wasn’t always clear what I was suppose to do even very early in the game. Does the new one have a good tutorial?
That's a pretty nice breakdown! I used Paragon Pioneers 1 as base, but touched every system to improve or replace it. There are a lot new production chains or old ones are changed, some removed to make a more complex way until the end. The biggest new feature is the research system, with a lot unique perks, which help to tune your playstyle and give even more depth in the progression. For tablets a landscape mode is now available and the ui is also scalable to fit your size of thumb The graphic has been overhauled, with much nicer water, ships rendered in the world, etc. The custodian system now also has been extended, with even more custodians and a reputation system. A lot of small QoL improvements are also packed in, e.g. a way simpler ui to set up trade routes or other helpful information options.
I overhauled the tutorial, added more pictures and tried to make it way clearer, but I have to admit that it still has a lot of text to read through as there are a lot mechanics in the game. I tried to juice it a bit up with humor to make it a worthy reading I would suggest to you to wait with the purchase and try the free lite version first as it contains a large part of the tutorial, to check out if it is more helpful for you.
