Thanks for your compliment! As for the release date were still waiting for the good word from Apple. Were wondering if its going to take 20+ days for approval, as were now into week 2 after our initial submission. In regards to pricing, this is a question that a few people have asked. This is a thorny issue were wrestling with at the moment. No doubt this is a common topic for every indie dev making iPhone apps. At the end of the day, we need to find a sustainable price that allows us to keep updating QuitIt! with free updates. As well as creating new cool apps the kind that would never get made at a bigger studio or publisher. We have a pricing structure in mind, but wed love to ask you guys for feedback on what kind of features you think separates a $0.99 game/entertainment iPhone app from something that costs more. Your feedback would be very helpful and greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Yas 2n Productions
for me, a game has to have along with good gameplay, relayability, depth, and polish to make it rise above the crowd ...it has to be something more than something I amuse myself for a few minutes here and there
Hmm, we submitted our app on the 10th, so we seem to be in the same boat as those guys. Does anyone know what apps were submitted around that time? Have any of them been approved yet? Also, has anyone seen any big differences recently between approval times for first time submissions and updates? We're already working on an update now and are curious if the times are different. Thanks! Yas 2n Productions
We read the thread about Critter Defense, and looks like they submitted around the 7th or the 8th and they got approved 12 days later (on the 19th?) according to the developer's blog. To rephrase what Devilishly Good said, we hope Apple stops poking Lumpy long enough to approve us! Hehe. Yas 2n Productions
Wow, this game has tons of charm! The video totally makes me want to play it. Definitely going to have to write something about this one. Best of luck, guys. EDIT: Wrote a little something about it here.
Promo code contest! Guess our approval date and time! Thanks for all your feedback guys! In appreciation of your comments, we’re going to give away 5 promo codes for QuitIt! But there’s a catch (it’s a small one tho’). We thought we’d have a bit of fun while we wait for Apple to stop poking Lumpy long enough to approve QuitIt. To level the playing field for everyone, we’re going to have a simple contest to see who can guess the date and time of when we receive the “Ready for Sale” approval e-mail from Apple. Here are the rules: Post your guess in this thread! All the posted date and times will be considered as US Pacific Time zone (we’re in California). Make sure to say AM or PM for your time! (Example: July 23, 2009 6:04PM) The 5 posters with the closest guess of our approval date and time will receive 1 promo code per poster. In the case where two or more posters guess the same date and time, the poster who posts that date and time first will be considered the winner. If you post multiple times, your first post will be considered your sole entry for the contest. This contest is valid for users within the US (promo codes are valid only in the US iTunes Store, sorry). One entry per registered TouchArcade user, please. Winners will be announced here at TouchArcade, and your promo code will be PM’d to you. Entries for this contest will be closed when our app is approved (we will announce it here on TouchArcade), or any time at our discretion. Now let the guessing begin! Yas 2n Productions
