Hi all, I'm pretty sure that a lot of you already know PuzzleManiak, available on iPhone since ... the beginning Here is a summary of the features of this game: PuzzleManiak is a collection of 20 puzzle games (Bridges, Dominosa, Filling, Galaxies, Loopy, LightUp, Mines, Net, Pattern, Rectangles, Sudoku, Slant, Tents, Unequal, Untangle, Blackbox, SameGame, Pegs, Guess and Map). All games are generated on-the-fly and have an unique solution, thus youll never play the same puzzle twice. All games have a lot of difficulty levels, from easy to very hard. For each game, a daily web challenge is available: in this mode, everyday, all players around the world will play the same unique puzzle and compare their scores to other players. Yes, we're currently working on a version of PuzzleManiak running on iPad. That will be a dedicated version of PuzzleManiak for the iPad so, yes, you'll have to pay again. But price will be less than $5... We'll introduce new difficulty levels, new puzzle sizes but no new games! Daily challenges will also be there, but not the same one than for iPhone users (to avoid cheaters and to allow people owning both devices to play twice the challenges without playing twice the same game). Players Challenges will disappear for now. Regards, Alx http://puzzlemaniak.com
Loved this on my DS when I used to do homebrew on it. In fact, since they finally released the 1.0 version of Knytt Stories for DS, I have toyed around with it once again. It is just that the $4.99 is kind of putting me off, because it was a game I did play, just scared I might get bored of it too soon (happened with Arcade Maniak) If this ever goes on sell again I will pick it up. Unless someone can tell me what would make it superior to the DS version that justifies the $5.
I, too, am on the fence about this game. I see it's gone on sale before, and I'm worried that if I buy it at the current price, I'll miss out on a sale soon.
I thought I would be only one here would know about that. I loved Puzzle Maniak on the DS, I was actually about to ask is if was basically the same game. I'll probably buy it eventually, my iPod completely replaced my DS.
Just buy it. It's the best $4.99 you'll ever spend. I play 15 or so of the games in Puzzlemaniak almost every single day. As far as I can make out it has never been in it's rightful position at the top of the Puzzle chart.
Concerning PuzzleManiak on iPhone, decreasing the price to $1 could be a good idea but only if sales are really boosted by this new price. If a website specialized in iphone games could follow us on that point by relaying the information, that will motivate us a lot to decrease the price. Can anyone help us for that here? Concerning the iPad version, we hope to be ready for the launch of the iPad. And the price will not be $5 this time
So, you would drop the game to $1 if TouchArcade were to put a frontpage article up? Fair enough, but it is up to the people that own the site, not me...
thats worth it just for the game untangle. great deal, everyone should have this game now, no excuses.
Details of new sizes of included puzzle games are detailed there: http://www.puzzlemaniak.com/main/?p=1194 In brief, 9 games (Bridges, Filling, Galaxies, LightUp, Loopy, Net, Rectangles, Samegame and Slant) have larger grids than the iPhone version.
