Are they still tweaking this game, I just opened the game after connecting to wi fi ang got a pop up window for the feature event. Also have the timers shortened again? I had a car in for 9 hrs before I connected, now it's showing 6 hrs....
I think clearly it's no longer worth even asking questions like that, as it's more likely than not to change again before someone answers you.
Is this even a question? I imagine they'll be tweaking the game infinitely until Feb 28. And then some after. But I cannot be happier that when they increased the service time, they didn't do it in the background and instead it necessitated a proper update download. I'm staying on V1.0.0 till the world ends.
I got an update from rr3 this morning. Nothing changes.except the TSM random opponent are medium compare to last time hard/extreme.

This game is weird, they seem like they are doing all these remote updates. Don't understand how they are doing it, but the app must be communicating when wifi is on even when the app is closed. Really weird.

Then again, you could also see it as compensation for all the repairs and service costs. Thing that scares me is, how is that even possible? If you buy/pay/download an app, you have every right to know what the contents of an update are, however small they be. And also the choice to not update. Here, there neither is indication nor choice. I think Apple should get a lot of stick for letting something like this to happen. Even if it is a quick update that can be done to the background, I believe the user must both consent to the update and be notified of it beforehand. Imagine buying a $9.99 games and then a silent update changes the balance of the game. I be f#%@ing mad!

I'm pretty sure the repair and upgrade timers are controlled server-side and not permanently set within the app. Every time you open the app while connected to wifi/3g/lte the RR3 servers will tell your copy of the game how long the waits should be. This way no updates are necessary to change the timers.

spleen is right. I think what we installed into our devices is more less client for game. Main menu looks like sort of web page so they can add or remove banners, add special offers, etc. I'm suprised they didn't change servicing time on servers. I'm using 1.0.1 version and I still have 5 min for oil change.
