iPad Red Conquest - (by Cat in a Box Games)

I have another thing to add. Green is balanced now but not with special units and abilities. This is what i mean:

Blue:
Special Units: Healer and Monitor
Special Ability: None

Red:
Special Units: None
Special Ability: Healing

Green:
Special Units: Healer and Monitor
Special Ability: Duplication

 

Well blue has the cheapest units. not really an ability but it's something. oh and Red has Gideon.

EDIT: If a free multiplayer app is released, i say it should only have Red and Blue factions with of course online multiplayer and a few skirmish maps. and then have the full campaign, Green faction, and full skirmish as an In-App purchase for $3.99.

I have an idea for Blue abilities. something i like to call "Radio Silence". if blue units are left idle for a few seconds, they become invisible to the enemy. but of course it's not permanent, if you order(not just move) your units they become visible again(because radio communication resumes). oh and during invisibility, your enemy can find you if you are within immediate attack range or if a scout moves close enough.

 

Gideons not playable outside of the story mission though =/

 

ya i hope we see alot more of him in the later updates

 

I think we might be able to see Gideon again. After playing through the campaign mission again and looking at the squad type data screens. I found out that Gideon is an extrememly capable unit. He can harvest resources, heal others, has combat ability, and he can build cruisers! So I'm thinking why would the CatInABox crew take the time to give Gideon all these abilities if we're only going to see him once? Especially when Gideon has a resource cost of 5000 and a build time of 25 seconds.
I figure we'll see him a few more times in campaign. Hopefully skirmish & multiplayer also =)

 

I think Space should be a deeper black... not sure why it bothers me being so light.

 

I'd rather give it to red and call it camouflage And when a unit comes into attack range, the hidden unit attacks anyway, which stops the hiding process.

 

I'd really like to see that ability for red. It would give red the needed depth...

 

That'd be epic! Having little invisible crabs everywhere. xD

 

yea that'd be sweet. Then Red could be like setting up ambush points to take the enemy off guard

Just right now the weirdest glitch happened.

I was playing a quick game online with Jhanig and three CPUs. On my team was myself, a green CPU and Jhanig. On the other team was a red and blue CPU. Now, I couldn't control my units, instead, they controled themselves, like the CPUs. Any idea what could've happened?

 

Good game Vingdoloras. Not sure what happened in the second game :/ Whole thing frozed.

It happens a lot when I host.

 

well Red already has healing. Blue would still be left without a special ability.

 

It happened again, exact same map. No CPUs, four players. All the other people saw nothing but themselves, while I saw this. My units, as well as the others', would move themselves. Here's a screenshot:
