I'm not really an optimist. I just saw it as a low risk. Episode 1 is highly rated and I could get that and potentially 4 other episodes for less than what my lunch at Subway cost.
Is the season pass still just 99 cents? Some people asked earlier today but want to make sure that is still the case.
If the developer suggested this idea that a $0.99 IAP sale will be "24 hours only" intended just for "kickstarter backers" as a guerrilla marketing ruse to boost sales that seems dubious to me. Maybe it's well intentioned and I need to be less jaded.
For what it's worth...A few weeks ago some beta tester said something about episode 2 being just around the corner. Just something I picked up on their twitter feed.
At first I thought it really was a kick starter thing but now that it's been 48 hours I now realize that this was probably a marketing ploy. Pretty smart for an small developer they got the $6 out of me. As long as the quality keeps up (haven't finished episode one yet) I don't mind though.
I'm with the poster who said that for less then lunch, I'll chance it. Although I'm still waiting for the game to get fun or interesting, I'll take either. Nice graphics thus far but man the story is leaving a lot to be desired.
The story of this game is basically better version of Remember Me, if you guys don't know, it's a forgettable console game with forgettable gameplay and plot but very similar plot to Republique.
I bought the game and the seasons pass as soon as I got home from work. I also saw that they have a makings of video listed as an IAP. I also bought this for conscience... I mean support
Bought the game purchased the season pass and deleted! I don't like playing unfinished games. When all episodes will be realeased I'll play it for sure!
