Meh. To me, a rep system seems.......unnecessary? I mean, we already know who the good and bad members are....or maybe I'm just gettin' too old for this crap. :p

I think this is a good idea because it's a bad idea because it's a good idea.

0/0 is impossible. You must perform L'hopitals rule if that happens. Which means you have to keep finding the derivative of the top and bottom until it doesn't equal 0/0 or infinite/infinite.

Also respect points should be able to be used to 'buy' things like username changes, get exclusive TA icons, and more!
One interesting concept was mentioned a while back. It was when you hit 1000 repesct points you get a $10 itunes voucher!

Also 0 X infinite doesn't always equal zero and 1^infinite doesn't always equal one

Then I think we would be seeing a lot more ads on TA, because how many users do you think will talk on OF and talk with friends to make a deal, 1 rep for 1 rep and so on......? besides, if its that easy to make $10 why wouldn you go to a friends house/library, make an account and rep yourself x 1000? i wouldnt bet, otherpeople will

I think that a lot of the rep systems come up with a message like "You must spread some reputation around before giving it to X" or whatever to stop people like that.

I would say "+ Rep", but that would forfeit the point of agreeing in the first place.

Yeah. One site had an annoying popup that said "Give some before you get some." Very short and to the point. Impossible for anyone to not figure out what they're saying.

White text results in the gain of respect points. It shows that your IQ is high enough to match colors, thus proving that you can have a civil, and grammatically proper discussion.
