Looks great, I'm definitely getting this the day it comes out! Btw. Nice technique with the environment shadows, we used that same method on our PSP game for non-grid based organic terrain. (PSP is really good with polygons, you can throw 30 000 triangles at it and it won't choke) Regards, Timo
This definatly looks like its gonna be a great game, and this is going to be a game that alot of people will buy. Cant wait for it to come out.
Here is the front page article in case anyone missed it: http://toucharcade.com/2010/03/04/upcoming-revolt-taking-the-dual-stick-shooter-to-new-heights/
wow nice looking game! the 8 campaign levels seems a little small, but if theyre long levels than thatd be okay. also when i hear 20 survival levals i hade a smile jumping off my head lol. like minigore, or idracula except with a campaign and many more survival levels and many more well everything...how much is this gonna be?
I have to admit that I haven't been this excited about a dual stick shooter in a long time! My first was iDracula, and I have a fair number of them in circulation on my iPhone. But this looks great! I love the "Terminator-style" futuristic theme! I like that it has a story component and upgradeable weapons. And lots of survival levels, too! I said it in other threads, and I'll say it again: I love when developers talk to the players. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to release day. Looks like an instant buy to me!
We're not setting a release date, we're going to go the Blizzard route and say 'When it's done'. Hopefully it should be in another month or so.
Not sure on the final cost, but I'd like to release it at a $2 introductory price to reward those who have been following its progression and are early purchasers.
Whoa? you are UNDERESTIMATING your game's potential.... Really! Very Kind words towards Minigore... I am sure when another game will come out... you'll replace just the word Minigore to.... no prizes for guessing!
Finally, a DS shooter that looks like it has a good cover mechanic! Killzone Liberation on PSP was awesome
This is the sad result of the "race to the bottom" on the App Store: Devs undervalue their games because people have been spoiled to the point of entitlement on cheap dollar games. It's a damn shame. This could easily sell $5 or more at regular price and command at least $3 on sale.
After Minigore gets its world map and new updates it will definitely be competition for Revolt... currently Minigore is my favorite but this will probably be my second DS Shooter app favorite... P.S: This won't kill Guerrilla Bob... Guerrilla Bob will commit suicide
Bless you. We won't be forgetting about this one, and we'll all be a *lot* happier with a game that was actually ready to be released. Sounds great (at least for us consumers), but I would GLADLY pay more at launch. Your call.
