Universal Rocket Riot HD - (by Chillingo)

You have to gift five times the pack of characters to a crystal friend/facebook friend/twitter friend. Once you do that you unlock all 5 characters from that pack. Done twice, you get 10 characters. All other characters are unlocked in-game. I'm personally not a fan of this system really, though. But I love the game, it's AWESOME!

 

If anyone wants to gift exchange with me my Crystal name is brewstieboy. I'm loving this game and want all the characters haha.

This is madness. I have been looking forward to this game after many hours of playing it on XBLA only to find out this is not compatible with 2nd Gen IPod Touch. Thanks a bunch, I'll spread the word.

I really cant get used to the controls. There just needs to be a D-pad. If you move you eventually slow down. And u have to move ur finger again and it just sucks. :/

A game like this screams for multiplayer.. Hopefully it takes off and encourages the dev to put the time into it.

 

Selling this for a buck they'd have to sell an awful lot of copies for it to be worth their time and effort. And this is a pretty niche title.

Multiplayer would be awesome, though.

So I just found out about this game and missed the 99 cent price. Is it worth the 2.99 or should I wait for a sale. It looks really good to me but I only have $12 left on my gift card and with IB2 coming I want to be careful spending.

 

I'd say it's worth $3, but odds are it will go back to 99 cents sometime soon.

 

i'm currently missing one last character. Is it because i need to get all stages cleared with 3 stars to unlock the last character?

 

I finished it yesterday, the whole 28 stages and have to say that it was a blast, lots of destructive fun, very useful powerups, a lot of boss battles, story driven, many different areas, controls could get a bit better but you get used to them, many different objetives apart from killing, several outstading levels (the blue one is one of the best) and many unlockable characters... the only thing it need to be perfect is ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, give it a 4 out if 5, half-point off for lack of multiplayer and another half for the controls
