Tapulous mentions ad revenue Inedible Software’s Shotgun So...right there, with a simple google search, two developers noting advertising revenue generation, so plural wasn't misleading at all. Tapulous doesn't state they get more off those compared to actual sales of their games, but one figures the clicks to iTunes does give them a nice bit of revenue. And then there's the Shotgun app, which I don't think is the app to which you were referring (iirc, the one you're referring to was some app late last year or earlier this year).
