After 10 or so runs, finally beat Normal, kept dying on 19 or 20. Think what got me over the hump is prioritizing hero retention over killing enemies. Not overloading with heals and shields but a decent balance. Since there is nothing gained by winning levels quickly, I stopped sacrificing heroes in order to kill enemies. Of course there are enemies that spawn other enemies and they should be a kill-priority, but the parties effectiveness is diminished exponentially as heroes are lost, so I’m feeling preservation is key. In the end, RNG will supersede even the best tactics. But that really is a primary appeal of this game and most great RL’s, the prospect of a perfect “run” where the RNG is favorable and everything falls into place. Interested to hear if anyone else has some insights that have proven effective to survive the normal/hard with consistency?
What do the different name colors mean? I freaking haven’t put this game down since I bought it…so much fun and seamless to play. Get sucked into some of these runs at my fingertips. Good stuff indeed
Finally beat Hard Difficulty. Key Prioritize keeping heroes alive vs eliminating enemies. Exception: eliminate spawners, who otherwise, can overwhelm you. Starting Penalty: while some runs there are no good options, pick one that has least impact on balance. In the end, RNG can override even the best tactics. Such a great game.
When i see 65 win streak on classic hard mode on leadeboard, and i'm at 0/25 win... i think i'm missing something....
Just finished a game that took an hour and a half with all healers, i saw a run like that on Retromation’s youtube channel and had to try it, if you want to see some crazy runs you should check out his channel, it is even promoted in the app.
Once I gained access to the Heaven difficulty (easier than Easy allowing you to start with multiple blessings) I was able to clear a few runs and even now have cleared a few on Easy as well.
