easy, when you arrive to the point where the purple starts to rise, use that beginning time to get as high as you can, then just time your jumps to land on the high platforms, its rather linear...i think the terrible controls are to blame.
It is almost impossible to jump onto the moving platform without falling into the water and then die because of the spikes waiting below. Annoying game. horrible control. Anyway, thanks.
When you press "touch screen," the controls are still visible. Just press up, down, left, then right. Press play and then press new game. Same goes with Sonic 1.
SEGA really needs to let you have the option to play through the game as either Sonic, Tails or Sonic & Tails... It seems odd, that they would change the game in this way from the original! I really hate being forced to play the game through as Sonic & Tails as it makes the Special Stages much harder to pass as Tails has a lag in his motion... 2-player co-op is a welcome addition though...
Sonic 2 has much better level designs than 1 and CD. I recommend this one even for folks who weren't that into those earlier Taxman ports.
Decided to play the original version before the update comes out. This thing is such a bad port, framerate is like in the teens.
