this should be out soon i hope. the giant robot thing got released. omg so many good games coming out cant wait to fly my space shuttle. just gotta convince my parents to let me use their credit card after running up a $160 itunes bill... lmao
the updates are out as well as that robot thing but space shuttle... when you open one of the x-plane apps it says,space shuttle is out i guess it will be out tomorrow
yes! i've got some problems with the price structure of the x-plane apps, but that's another topic..after i found out that the pc version of x-plane includes space shuttle and air craft carriers, i wished we could see any of these things for the iphone in the near future. i was relly surprised hearing that the space shuttle app has already been submitted, and i really can't wait any longer! i hope austin thinks about bringing us the air craft carriers..would be so awesome!
Yeah, the 'Space Shuttle' app should be out soon, probably tomorrow. I remember, a day before they released the Airliner and Extreme apps, they released an update for the existing X-Plane apps saying that the new ones were released.
Yeah, that is a nice idea. In theory, I would guess that is would be pretty easy (just make some basic, fixed models with the same properties of land) but as I know nothing about developing on the iPhone, I don't really know. One thing I'd love to see is a realistic cockpit interior. Like in PC flight sims where you can see your cockpit interior and all the instruments, and maybe even the feature to look around the cockpit. But I suppose that would be quite hard to make.

Yeah, well almost anything is possible on the idevice. 1 Year ago, I was amazed to see a 3D game on my iPhone. Now look where the idevice has got to. Laminar Research has already pushed the limits way beyond the expected boundary. And I believe that they will continue to push the boundary. A 2D or even 3D cockpit interior is easily possible on the idevice it's just a matter of the developer's capability, and judging from Laminar Research's history, they are pretty damn capable.
yeah even if its just like a skin to the current hud. i really want to see the interior of the plane im flying. or for the instruments camera view they can just customize it to look like the instruments corresponding to the plane.
This certainly looks like a good app, I wonder if it will eventually have actual missions? Dock with the ISS, Grab the Hubble, so on so forth.
from the looks of it probably not for now. maybe in a future update they can add things for you to dock with like space stations or control the robotic arm
When will this app be ready?? I have been checking iTunes every few hours and I still can't find it or it is just not there. More information would be great! Thanks!
