I spent my entire school life (with the exception of college) in Catholic school, studied the bible countless hours, and i still don't see the problem. Maybe the fact I decided there was nothing but inconsistencies and hypocrisy in it, which led me to atheism is coloring that; but seriously, if the developr has good intentions, and truly believes what he's preaching and the product he's selling, I don't see that as a bad thing. Or wrong.

You sometimes have to think outside the box in order to get your message across. Having said that, it certainly doesn't belong in games and the title is really silly for something that's supposed to be somewhat serious.

And no, no matter my feelings on the subject matter, spinning the baby jesus is not a game mechanic. Now if you spun him so hard he got sick and you had to land it on one of the wise men, now that would be a game mechanic! ;)

I have no problem with this. I do, however, have a problem with Christians constantly trying to shove their beliefs down my throat. This is not doing that, I salute the dev for promoting their religion in a way that doesn't make me want to punch their pancreas. May Jesus shake a palm frond at you from above.

The CoE at least have always been money grabbers. Some of the depraved stuff they got up to during the middle ages would make a whore blush.

That's directed at the people who are offended by it, not the developer... I think it's fine.

Hehe, cool app! Somewhat strange, but funny way to present bible wisdom!
And I love new, not-previously-seen ideas.

I'll get my copy once released! :)

It's just a lighted hearted and fun way to deliver the message of the Lord. I do not see why it would cause offence.

We hope that apple authorize soon. How long does it normally take? We would love to have to number one app for Christmas.

    God bless you all ;)

For anyone who might have any moral issues with this game, don't worry, it's all good

haha, Jesus, how much will this cost, I don't feel like paying for the account a crazed schizophrenic.
Does this app mention that the bible tells us to kill gay people?

Also, could God create a question that is unanswerable and then answer it (answer= yes, this question)

I'm sorry if this app offends you in anyway. I simply want to spread the good word of the Lord in a fun way that people will enjoy.

"Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned, forgive, and ye shall be forgiven."

We have just launched a new website for the app http://playfunnygames.co.uk/spinningjesus

We have just received notification from Apple:

Your application, Spinning Jesus, is requiring unexpected additional time for review. We apologize for the delay, and will update you with further status as soon as we are able.

Why would such a simple positive app require additional time for review?
Surely a postive and entertaining app should easily be approved by Apple, who seem to have no problem with allowing farting and various violent apps.

Can anyone think why Apple would take extra time to review something so straight forward?

Let us pray that Apple soon realise the positive message that this app delivers.

    God bless you all.

    REJECTED

Just got the this message from Apple.

Thank you for submitting Spinning Jesus 1.0 to the App Store. We've reviewed Spinning Jesus 1.0 and determined that we cannot post this version of your iPhone application to the App Store because it contains objectionable content and is in violation of Section 3.3.14 from the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement which states:

"Applications may be rejected if they contain content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, sounds, etc.) that in Apple's reasonable judgement may be found objectionable, for example, materials that may be considered obscene, pornographic, or defamatory."

If you believe that you can make the necessary changes so that Spinning Jesus 1.0 does not violate the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement, we encourage you to do so and resubmit it for review.

    Regards,

    iPhone Developer Program

How is this app obscene, pornographic, or defamatory?

Is it because it is religious?

    What shall we do next?

Apple doesn't touch religious apps with a 10 ft. pole, positive or negative. It's pretty much known that anything with a religious or political theme has no chance of making it onto the App Store. Sorry. :(

There a loads of religious apps already.

Just look up the word Jesus in the app store and you will see what I mean.

Fair enough. It's probably the title then, they may feel that some find "Spinning Jesus" offensive. But you know what, I'm not Apple and they're very hard to figure out.

We've had a game in review for 5 months now and getting info from them is like pulling teeth. Best of luck.
