(me when I first read $.99) YES!! (me when I first read no 2nd gen support) NO!!!!!! (me seeing someone's comment about the game running on ipt2g) huh? I'm confused! I know it says that it doesnt support 2nd gen devices, but do you think this will work on my iPhone 3G since it looks like the same game?
Can anyone C/D if this version will actually have full controls as an option (ie, 6 buttons + d-pad)? Or will it still be the same "simplified only" controls of the original app?
Online is really polished and fun, but I disconnected like 80% of the time. Maybe it's just me though.
Oh cool, I was suddenly wondering if that might be it - handy since I never bought 'em. 5 mins to go on dling Volt, OMG at the price, I was ready for their fixed one - just got $NZ50 credit from a friend who bought a card and then realised they'd never use it.... Further reports shortly I guess.
Will Volt give me the mysterty content if I downloaded SF4 but delete it, or do i have to reinstall my already purchased mammoth app in order to get it?
a rift in time will open up and a copy of duke nukem forever 2 will fall from it but this version wont suck like a shiny turd.
Ok, I know how to unlock Akuma/Gouki, all you have to do is finish Arcade mode without dying and he will appear as a final fighter, he is hard, he killed me
Okay, so graphics seem unchanged. Controls seem better as in it catches my intentions more of the time! Which is really nice . In my first session I just beat the arcade as Ken on normal in 11:37 ... which was slower than I was expecting but I didn't count on the new EXTRA STAGE vs Akuma! Edit: okay that spoiler tag thing was lamer than I expected. I beat Akuma but don't seem to have unlocked him to play - maybe by beating him with all characters? The achievement is only to beat him in the arcade. Speaking of which, far fewer achievements than in the first version, ironically given how much easier it is to play vs other people now!! Also had auto accept challenge turned on and managed to win my first online game yay. It stuttered a bit but I think I was still downloading something else in the background, and overall I was impressed at the quality of the experience ... and of course with winning! Now I've just opened up SFIV the old app and unlocked the IAP for free, the SFII background is cool but the music is decidedly dated . I guess I'd never really heard it having only watched the game in arcades where it was pretty damn quiet or turned off. Very nice touch for owning both, I'm guessing they picked the fact through GC. New Chun-Li outfit is of a style quite different from the rest of the game! And interesting to note that they don't then magically unlock in Volt, maybe they will add those outfits back in, again as IAP, later? Wouldn't be so bad as I'd say EVERYONE will be getting this at bargain rates! Graphics would be my pick for future update focus! Edit: All in all looks like a lot of gameplay albeit a lot we've done before. And my thumbs were just recovering from my last bunch of play on the old version!
Regarding 2G compatability you could purchase the App then request refund through iTunes if it ends up not working; that would let you report impressions back on this thread for others.
