Online mode has always been terrible. I'd have better luck winning in Vegas than I do actually connecting to a Race Mode match.
Are you still using iPhone 3S with iOs 4.x? Says in information it requires iOs 5.0 or later. This could be why you're experiencing these bugs. Regarding multiplayer, it's absolutely fine for me. There's the odd lag spike during games but that's about it.
4S with 6.1.3. The guy I was playing against who also had phantom shots was on a 4 with the most recent OS. It looks like I have about 25 turn based games played since the update and have watched about 90% of the replays. I do see the lag spikes too. I didn't have any of these issues prior to the update and have been playing it since day 1. Edit: So I just did a fresh install to see if it helped and told it to not remove files. Now all my progress is gone. I had clean balled everything. Any way to get this back since it uses iCloud without restoring my whole phone? Edit 2: Synced with iCloud and now all but the first courses are listed as beaten with my records but locked. Every first course of each tour is now showing as never played before, record is there, but no bucks, star, or clean ball. I played through grassy land and it unlocked the rest of the tour. Since the golf bucks achievement reset it allows me to double dip and get bucks again that I already have spent. Also my record for grassy land shows -19 on the course select screen (the score I just got) but in the actual course leader board it is showing -29 (my record prior to re-installing the game). The game is borked.
I for one can't see the scores of my GameCenter friends in the new courses.It says "unable to see friends' score" but I'm sure they've already played the new courses.

I have a lot of "waiting player" and "please wait, setting up match" fails in the online Course Mode recently.What about you? iPad 2 iOS 6.1.3 and the new courses update, not the two bug fix updates.
