Upped from Vanguard to Fuzzy Werebear. I think a lot of us will need to up our pledges to help make this happen. Lets do it!

Yes that is probably a good way to describe how I play. Usually leave my finger in one place and drift it in the cardinal direction I want to travel. I rarely frantically swipe at the screen. Except when attacked by a warlord when I have no shield no shield spells and no restore potions. I keep hoping that I will escape even though the monster initiated the combat and its hopeless :)

Yes, me too (and that's the way Madgarden and I planned for it to be used). First-time players tend to do more dramatic swipes until they run out of room on the screen. By doing this very gentle 'nudge' as I call it, or 'drift' as you refer to it, I think most players find that to be a very comfortable result.

Also, by being able to place your finger *anywhere* — even an out-of-the-way corner of the screen — you can typically keep much more of your field of vision open on the action, as opposed to being restricted to a specific virtual D-pad spot.

I hope the original inquirer sees this and tries the function a little bit more. Perhaps then they may like it better?

    Sincerely,

    Jeff McCord,

I wanted to thank all of you who have supported us from the beginning right through to this funding of the Kickstarter, either by backing or just by your well wishing. Madgarden won't let you down.

We made it!! Thanks to you all...

I'm sure most of you know, but Sword of Fargoal 2 successfully funded. Many of you helped us do it and deserve our deepest "thanks" and appreciation!

If you want to watch the dramatic last seven minutes or so (it *literally* came down to the wire), check out our Kick-a-thon "PART E" and shuttle to near the end…

    Thank you all again!

Well, actually we are waiting for two years now.

But it doesn't matter (anymore), since I am just happy it does arrive at all.

We can make a deal, that fans do not get nervous again:

Mr. and Mrs. Madgarden, would you please be so nice and supply us with screens and videos until release, an we fans do not bother you with eta-questioning?

    Deal?

Hah! I don't make deals. But, rest assured, Madgarden and myself will be as active in here as we were before he had to stop work on Fargoal 2 the first time.
If you have questions about anything, we're happy to answer to the best of our ability, just like before. We'll post screens when we can, just like before. So, sit tight and as soon as things are sorted out from the campaign, Madgarden will be back at it.

I echo our thanks from the Madgarden family! For anyone who's missed it, there are some good screen shots still there on our completed Kickstarter campaign (link).

    Cheers!

Great news indeed. Grats team Fargoal on meeting your quota, I'm very much looking forward to getting F2 the second it's released. Same goes for the boardgame (and if they ever see the light of day on the Android market). ;)
