I voted for Siege Craft TD. While the game play in the campaign is pretty standard tower defense stuff, it is quite well implemented and the 3D graphics and camera movement is excellent. While I have yet to play it's multi-player mode, I have checked out the detailed tutorial and it looks pretty amazing.

I could just have easily voted for Hero of Many which is fantastic experience.

Wonder why Samurai Showdown II got only 1 nomination vote. I bought this game and really enjoy playing it.

People choice Block x 3 than the other, personally i didn't like this game too simple too annoying about the ads, didn't believe apple featured an ads version on New/noteworthy.

Because it shows you didnt play Block Block Block as one should... The first half of the first pack is basically a tutorial, and the rest of it are basic concepts to help you tackle the real puzzles which start at pack 2.

And the ads. Kiddie puzzles you can find in Toyland or something cost about what, $20 on average? Here you get them free with ads, or you can basically buy the game by buying the remove-ads IAP.

Relax, play through it a bit more, and see how the game opens up for you.

As for Samurai Shodown 2, it's an ok game. I bought it, played it, but found the same problem i had with other high quality fighting game ports. Controls arent working for me. Plus, the game on the touchscreen is pretty brutal... And, not all ports are worth $10 in its gameplay and translation.

Despite my bit of frustration in the final town of Bounty Hunter Black Dawn, the enjoyment i got from the first 3 towns was already worth every buck i spent on the $5 IAP i bought, since i got a code for the game.

It still easily gets my vote this week.

Hero of Many is a good game, but let's play fair, people: it doesn't need fully half its votes coming from suspiciously shiny brand new accounts. :p

Yeah same here. Its not perfect, i'm finding it frustrating later having to grind BUT i have played this game a lot this week so it automatically gets my vote

I really didn't think that I would, but I ended up voting for LOE3. While it could just as easily have been an extension of LOE2, it's still LOE. And I'm still a sucker for platformers. And speedruns... and challenging games.

Even though I'm having loads of frustration with SSII, if it would have made the top 10 nominations, it would have got my vote.

Attack of the Spooklings was my third choice... it's a fantastic score-chasing arcade game with a nice scoring system and addictive gameplay. But it hasn't held my attention like SSII or LOE3.

Yet another week where I ultimately couldn't pick 5 out of the fantastic list of games I had gotten, so I refrained from nominating. That said...Hero of Many. That is all. Contender for Game of the Year for me. If you have an iPad and you don't own this...we can't be friends, sorry. Fix that.

Don't have an iPad but do have Hero of Many on my Nexus 7. Can we still be friends :) ?

Agreed on the game. It's fantastic.

I'm trying to decide between Bounty Hunter: Black Dawn, War of the Zombie, and Anodyne Mobile. I'll need some more play time but an leaning towards Bounty Hunter: Black Dawn; that is one fun game.

I wish all those Hero of Many people would be friends with us small screen iPhone/iPod gamers. Universal or bust.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE BH:BD, but at points it just got a bit to grind-y. Second choice for sure, but LoE:3 has to be my GoTW

I guess we can't be friends, though I'd still like to be... I have become more complacent and wary of these artsy looking games as I personally keep finding myself drawn in by their aesthetic appeal and turned off by their gameplay lacking to match the ambitious execution of their stylistics... Because of this trend I just can't jump on board every pretty game that turns its pixels my way in an attempt to look "unique". Quite frankly, I have become wary and selective where I would once devour games like these because they are starting to all feel too familiar as of late.

The art direction, aesthetics and styling look great but ultimately after looking at the gameplay videos that gameplay looks unremarkably familiar, at least to me, as if I have played that particular game a dozen times before... Not to mention the style while different looks all too familiar as well!

Why has Layton Brothers lost 3 votes from yesterday ?
I'm more than positive there were 9 votes.
