May instead of a month of membership, just to be safe they should change the rules to something like 1,000 posts to be able to vote. That way we know the good guys will always win.
Just make it 2000 posts cause look at my post count! Wow, I must post alot cause I'm a fairly recent member. Sorry about all the crazy long winded posts, and my humorous sarcastic zingers!
Is that a good thing? Or does that mean I have to go over to be evaluated at the mental hospital? What is your post per day rate?
Such a hard call for me.. It's a toss up between Devil's Attorney and Avernum 6 HD. Unfortunately Avernum will not get GotW as it is an iPad only app. Such an uphill battle for any iPad only app to get.
Toss up for me between Devil's Attorney and Girl's Like Robots. Went with GLR. Kind of surprised that Polara is winning this, I didn't think there was all that much buzz behind that game. Edit: They should definitely have a barrier of like, at least 10 posts and a registration date of 7 days to vote
^^This!! I think there should be a buffer period of anywhere between 7-15 days. Post count is not important here - we just wanna make sure the votes come clean. Any chance we can get the admins to see this request?
That already pretty much exists. It's just that there's no way to prevent them from voting. The votes just aren't counted officially. Look at any week's results and then check the actual poll. The numbers never match exactly
Smart man. The polls work as intended in the end, apart from providing a hot topic of conversation when the visible voted are abused. I go through the votes no matter what and in the end adding some overly complicated restrictions will probably do more harm than good.
Yeah I have to say echoseven has been doing a good job with the voting. He has been fair, listened to all our votegate complaints nicely, and in the end has done a good job of filtering out bogus votes. There is a method to all of this madness, which has made rhe voting more interesting lately.
This poll is shaping up nicely. So far after a cursory glance all votes have been pretty genuine, which is awesome.
Yeah, this week's been pretty surprising...the poll looks almost* flawless. *Obligatory "Dev voting for own game" situation though.
Polara is in the lead. Very well deserved, I think. It's been a long time since I've had that much fun with a game.
Kind of closer vote this time around with a couple of games that have decent votes. And good to see over 150 votes so far, good participation.
