Voted for Punch Quest It's a shame for Crossword Dungeon that it came on a week up against Punch Quest.
Hands down, Dodonpachi Maximum! Easiest vote for me in weeks. It may cost a little more, but it is a great game.
Yup... definitely a fantastic game. Too bad it went to together with Punch Quest, He-Man, NYZ2 and Shardlands which were the most-looked-forward-to on release week, so it got less attention than it deserved.
Man, I was split between Crossword Dungeon and Punch Quest. But I had to be fair and vote for the game "as is". And despite enjoying CD, there are still quite a few kinks to work out. So my vote goes for Punch Quest!
Very tough week for me. Went for Shardlands but am enjoying He-Man (despite niggling controls) and Punch Quest a lot.
This is one of the only times when I'm gonna hold off on voting on day one. Punch Quest is perfect, but even with its flaws I love N.Y. Zombies 2...
I know Punch Quest is going to run away with this, and that's fine, but I'm a sucker for the Cave games so DDPM gets my vote.
Hmm, interesting poll results so far. The free game is in first (and a great free game it is), but in second, as of me typing this, is the most expensive of the choices.
Yeah with the trend towards freemium and 99 cent games, it seems like these kind of games have an advantage reaching more people. It is going to be interesting to see how Need for speed most wanted does next week with its higher price point. Dodonpachi max is kind of in a niche market, at least NFS is a racing game so it can reach a little broader of an audience. So I am curious about next week. But I love dodonpachi maximum it is a great game, and I love shmups.
Honestly, I think if Punch Quest had been $1.99 or something, it still may have won. Great game by a well-respected dev. But it did have some stiff competition this week. There were a number of games I liked.
