My Hellboy Library vol 6 has shipped and will be in my grubby hands on Wednesday. Very excited to add it to the collection...
Man TA forums really do have everything. When I was younger I was all about Marvel these days I am more about DC, love Ultimate Marvel universe though. I really need to read more of Peter Milligans stuff. I loved his run on Hellblazer. Man I could go on and on about comics instead I will just state some favorites on mine. Strangers in Paradise Bone Sandman (one day I WILL own the absolute collection) Poison Elves Lucifer Batwoman Superman Order of the Stick Girl Genius
A) Welcome to the comics thread. B) Thats a nice list. Did you check out new 52 swamp thing by snyder? Its a good serisis. Punisher MAX Barracuda and Long Cold Dark were also awesome but definatly not for kids. As for supes, the new run is interesting, But I like Superman Earth One a wee bit better. Alot of the new 52 is good. Moving from DC, image's Invincible is a great sereis. The new ultimate spiderman actually is better than expected, but for me who doesn't read much mainstream marvel comes off as a little disjointed. The background events that is. Worst comic I read? Wolverine MAX. Scrap that, its actually Godzilla Legends Rodan. Kingdom of Monsters comes very close it. Very close. The rest of legends was good. Can't wait for Rulers of the earth number two. Cover is a few pages back.
So far I am impressed with what I have read in Swamp Thing. I've been reading it alongside Animal Man and I am definitely liking the whole Green, Red, and Rot dynamic of the stories.
I just found this! Link because its a big picture. http://www.expertcomics.com/Blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/stuart-3.jpg

I did read Tintin when I was growing up. They had a ton of them at our library, and I devoured those suckers. I was pretty excited when the movie came out. It was pretty good. Made me want to read the comics again. Good list. I LOVED Bone. Read it last year for the first time, and it was amazing! I was so depressed after I finished because there was no more. And Ultimate Marvel is great. I love that dead is dead there. I know a lot of people didn't like the Ultimatum Wave/unsanctimonious death of so many characters, but it felt sort of realistic to me. I mean, you can only be lucky so many times.
I gave up on the Ultimate Universe. The beginning of the Ultimate Universe was cool. I like the art of the early Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men. I hated the Ulitimate Spider-Man art after they switched artists.
Anyone have any good non superhero comic recommendations? Apart from that, all subjects considered as long as its written well.
The Homeland Directive I was blown away by this one. Riveting, top notch, and nowadays frighteningly plausible conspiracy thriller. Black Gas Warran Ellis deconstructs the zombie genre. It ain't pretty, not by a long shot. Age Of Reptiles Silent comics featuring dinosaurs. Great stories anyway.
Been a while since I bought any comics, but seeing this thread pop up I just wanted to mention how good Batman '66 has been - the digital experience has been good so far (put the viewer into guided mode!) Of course being a big fan of the Adam West Batman TV/Movie/Cartoons helps.
