On rail?! Damn, bored of that. Just wondering, is it possible for the developpers to use unreal engine in a non-rail FPS? Look like they cant, every damn FPS is on rail, that sux.
Ya both infinity blade and rage are on rails. I hope it's free movement but it's ok if its on rails as long as the gameplay is right
Of course it's possible, many of the new upcoming games that are TPS and FPS are using unreal engine and their all free roam. Desert zombies last stand, March of heroes, Warmgun. So you have many to choose from. Also the devs were saying for this game, their will be open exploration in some parts, so it isn't all on rails.
Rage doesen't use the unreal engine... (I'm assuming you're replying to one of the comments before yours)
Do any devs come on this thread?? I'm just curious to know if there is any new info. On one their interviews they stated that this game will be released in August? I'm wondering if it still is scheduled for release this month?
Hopefully this comes out soon. It should be a good horror fix. You know it would be sweet if someone made a fps sorta like FEAR. Just saying
Yea, like Jumpman says an FPS horror thing. Hope it's creepy like Amnesia, the dark descent. If these guys release it soon.... this could be one of those surprise hits and steal some of the sales from MOH or desert zombie.
No it doesn't ,though, the engine they use is the id's engine they use for their console games. Id 5 i think it is.
Not yet. It seems both the dev's Twitter and Facebook have gone silent. I'm still hoping for an August release though. Only one more week...
