@Boardumb Anyone know if this is coming to iOS or know anything about it? Apparently it launched on Android in the U.S. only so far and with no announcement from Bethesda. Just seen the TA article on it too, I guess nobody knows yet. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.stronghold&hl=en_US&gl=US
I get that, I like to try games still especially if they are free I just download and add to me to try folder and swiftly delete most but sometimes I find games I enjoy. I did like fallout shelter for a bit and I prefer a castle skin on it to fallout so who knows.
Seems like its preorder is up on stores now. Not sure if it’s softlaunched anywhere and I’m guessing it’s a placeholder date as it just says Dec 2024. https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/the-elder-scrolls-castles/id1594657136
@Boardumb haven't seen anyone post about it being up for preorder yet anywhere online. Also just found it on the PH AppStore as a softlaunch to download instead of preorder.
I’m sad to say I don’t like it. I’m not sure how things change further in but so far it’s a fallout shelter kind of game but with a kind of reigns kingdom decisions thrown in. It’s the added kingdom decisions I don’t like, I like managing and building the castle although the resource management is done in like 1-6 min and then stops until you collect it so that’s far too little resource generation time while the games closed. Then the decisions you make, they come fairly often and you click your king and make a decision to help people with resources or not help. You gain and loose reputation whatever you decide sometimes you have to choose one over the other like commoners over nobles so it’s a balancing act. Which I didn’t like but could deal with, but sometimes people also fall out with each other and you try to keep the peace…then you loose 2 citizens because they were murdered by other citizens that didn’t like them and you already didn’t have enough people in your castle…. I don’t find the addition of this element adds any fun or enjoyment to the genre for me. It feels like it does the opposite and takes away from me building up my castle, people and resources.
The rollercoaster between the title and the actual game has been pretty wild for me to say the least.
