  1. Trust me : KoF > Street Fighter > Blazeblue.
Why ? The animation, that's all.

This port is an example how a game for mobile should be, perfectly ported for iOS and tablets. 10/10 install size is 121mb and has no IAP. Grab this now!

There's no way the controls could possibly be any better, considering you're playing on a touchscreen. If you're not happy, at least its got MFi controller support.

Lol we play games for animation these days?

  7. These days...KOF series is dead, what are you talking about ?

KoF : nice combo, nice story, nice character, nice music and AWESOME animation.

Take all those things to the other games i quoted, but in order : with nice animation and good animation.

WARNING : i'm talking about old games series, not SFIV or BB Chrono. Thx.

That comparison just doesn't make sense, but that's completely off-topic.

Xiii based animation, Wi-Fi multiplayer, easy control, not emulration port.
    and soundtrack, artwork bonus menu.
    But 2 characters is IAP.

    Edit: sorry ,is kof2012 i
    Kof98 is not better.

    Only support bluetooth multiplayer,
no bonus menu, some tricky control, useless sp button.
And arcade mode only. But small install size.

    Sorry my bad english.....

KoF-i is a port of KoF XIII for iOS, the latest game in the series, and KoF-i 2012 is an improved version of KoF-i, with online multiplayer, some new modes, more characters and some other stuff.

And KoF 98 is just another game.

If I had to choose between those games, I'd pick KoF-i 2012.

No online multiplayer in KoF 98/97.

KoF 98 : better animation than Kof 2012. Gameplay and characters well balanced. (Port by DoTEmu edited by SNK Playmore)

KoF 97 : just for fan, very very old fighting gameplay, not for everyone.
(Port by DoTEmu edited by SNK Playmore)

KoF 2012-2 : the first port of KoF XIII on ios (2011) not very good, not well presented, missing character, flaw controls. The worst on iOS. (port and edited by SNK Playmore)

KoF 2012-i : i think it's one of the best port i've seen on iOS. Bunch Of contents, perfect easy gameplay adapted for touch screen, 2 iAP character (very good one but you can pass) and multi languages. Online Multiplayer but not good at all.
(port and edited by SNK Playmore)

Now up to you to choose the one which fit you.

Something curious, from the app descriptions KOF 98 is way smaller than the the KOF-i versions. 71 meg compared to over 384 meg for i and 720 meg for i-12.

    What's up?

  17. Again, the animation and the soundtrack in KoF series take all the place :)

Awesome that just sold me. i2012 had rock-solid MFi controls, and I'd imagine it'll be no different here. This is the iconic, best (IMO), version of KoF.

It's awesome that they're porting all these older fighting games to iOS but I wish they would include online multiplayer with them. Since being able to play against other players is a major selling point of these games I don't understand why they wouldn't have it.

But if this port is as good as the Samurai Shodown 2 port then this should be a fantastic game for the money.

  20. KOF 2012-i has it ;)
