Yeah, I figured as much, I just found it odd that the IAP purchase title is identical to the first season and does not say Season 2, just says "Last Door: Collector's Edition" so that was odd. Also, when I try to play season 1 on my iPad Air 1 (iOS 8.3.2) it becomes totally unresponsive after selecting "Restore Purchases" button (screen darkens a shade and nothing works after that. Have to force quit.) I would love to pick the new one up, but I really want to finish the first one and since the update I can't seem to restore the additional episodes.. This is part of my ongoing dislike of content locked behind IAP. Even if the app otherwise works, I have lost access to IAP locked content in several beloved apps over the years :/
I loved the first season so much ! Great announcement, the mix between lovecraftian-poe'sque horror, pixel art direction and classical point'n'click is a total success.
