My guess is he feels it is subjective since you have the final say. Also if you haven't played it and there is no lite, then it is unlikely to be on there. As for the thread it is not "top quality", but I find nothing wrong with someone trying to make one and putting effort in it than all those crappy which is better and the scrambled mini best game threads. Kudos to you.
I think I'm supposed to say thanks yo that... And yes I have tried gangstar lite, and found it pretty great.
I have a ton of the games on the list and do not feel they deserve to be in the top 100 apps. What about games like Jules Verne RTMI? It would be much easier if the games/apps were put into categories bc diff people like different types of games. Actually, I should rephrase that......It would be more helpful if the top 100 were put into categories so that one is able to look under the type of games they like to play in order to find more.
I really think, ESPECIALLY after the update (Which was approved two days ago), Aqua Globs deserves a spot.
Oh gosh. Look at what he has in the top 5 for each category! If you look those games up they have barely any ratings. Not to mention Pathpix???? There is a difference btwn different types of puzzle games. Myst is in the puzzle category on here along with typical "puzzle" games. Myst is more of a RPG with puzzle strategies integrated. Very similar to Jules Verne RTMI. I would never put those games under a puzzle category. Ice Age should also be somewhere on the list. Then again I agree with the person who mentioned that a list is only as good as the person who created it. Everyone has very different taste.
Camzy asks for votes for every category and leaves voting open for a spell. He can't help what might be popular at that time or who votes for what. I think Camzy does an awful lot of work compiling the votes and games and sorting them out. I have gotten a lot of ideas for games by people's votes (I know its a long thread but if you read the individual posts you can get lots of suggestions per genre). FTR many people really enjoy Pathpix and there is even a pro version. This list on this thread seems to be very subjective and I agree its difficult with new games coming out all the time. I mentioned before that the "next best thing" could be released tomorrow and then the list is already dated. Bottom line - no accounting for taste. There is also another thread called "Ultimate Puzzle Game Discussion Thread" -- http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=21007 That one just has suggestions and lists games as they are released. Its an excellent source for all puzzle games (minus match 3's etc). It is also pretty all encompassing. A very good source where you can make your OWN decision whether you like a game or not. Bottom line -- a game is only as good as the gamer who is playing it thinks it is!
I think TanZen and Zentomino should be added to this list - these 2 games are simply amazing and shouldn't be missed by anyone!
Storm attack needs to be on this list... It's literally an iphone version of tetris... It's awesome, and a HuGeEEEE update is on its way!
