so, is this game considered episodic still? Does that mean you guys will be updating with more chapters or something? Either way, I can't wait for this game.

Oh mate this looks amazing, can't wait, love the spoof concept, the graphics are perfect, I'm surprised no one has mentions that "it looks like swords&sworcery", cause lately every pixelated game "looks like swords&sworcery".

    Instabuy!

My enjoyment post completion of this title will be gauged on one thing:

    Can we get the soundtrack?

@KojimaKid - Hey there KojimaKid! Yes the game is of episodic nature (we always said it would be) :) So yes indeed, there will be more levels (episodes) coming shortly after. Glad you are looking forward to it!

@Darth Nihilus - I am glad you like it!

@Triscuitable - Well, let me think... Of COURSE there will be a OST (Original Soundtrack) available :) It's pretty rocking!

How will the episodes work? Will they be separate apps or IAP?

    Hiya,

I doubt any level or episode for the main story arc will contain IAP. I simply refuse to nickel and dime anyone. When you buy an app IMHO, it should contain the full story arc for the single player experience from start to ending sequence :)

That's not to say there's never ever going to be a game I develop without IAP but my own personal ethics state that IAP must be strictly "optional" for the diehard fans who just want to pay more, to get extras, bonuses, that sort of thing. But for me, the main game must be sacred and not IAP, it is called being respectful to your players.

If a game is designed as freemium, then well, you can expect all sorts of IAP. But The Other Brothers is not designed as freemium for iOS. It's designed as a game you pay for, then get the full game with episodic content added as part of the full game as FREE DLC.

If one day, everyone demands a hardcore level set for IAP, thats *not* part of the full game - ie typical console addon DLC then that's technically possible, but rest assured its not going to happen for the episodes, the episodes are included in the price you pay for it :)

That is good to know! Especially that last part, and with a game like this, it would be cool to have IAP for hardcore level sets outside of the episodic ones. I wouldn't mind paying for those at all.

This doesn't look like Sword & Sworcery to me. S&S is all about clean, straight lines and very careful, deliberate minimalism. The Other Brothers is more of a sketchy, haphazard style. If two games using pixel art look the same then Crysis looks like Mario 'cause they both use 3D models.
