Thank you Steve! Looks like your game is coming along as well! Hope you will enjoy the game Biggavelli! We put a lot of effort into it. Here is a little graphic I wanted to share with you guys...
It's been confirmed for a while now, and is in this thread multiple times...4th of April. Hell, it's even in the thread title and in the Upcoming Releases of 2013 list.
Hi could somebody please confirm what hardware this will require? I have touch 4 and iPad 1, any love?
Hey there Squabs - Yes both devices are supported We have all generations of iOS devices at hand to test with to ensure it runs properly.
Hiya, Rob here. I'm glad you asked about the framerates/love for old devices because I spent a long time profiling and went through absolute nightmares to get the following at an incredibly smooth playable framerate on old devices: ipad1 / iphone 4 / 3gs supports: - vignetting - screen burn - mosiac mode 7 style special effects - lighting for all characters - realtime shadows for all characters - heat/water distortion fx - megatextures (super bitmaps as everything is uniquely drawn art) People said I was mad and I should just turn those off for iphone 4/3gs and iPad 1.... But I said no. Yes it cost me sanity and sleep, but you get the full experience It doesn't matter what device you have, and yes it is also retina (incredibly smooth scrolling) and 32 bit for colour definition. Videos and screenshots DON'T REMOTELY do it justice to seeing it on device moving. Whatever device is used, it will tailor to the aspect ratio and use the hardware best it possibly can
Okay guys n gals, I need you all to help spread the word. The more support we can get, the more we can work on new episodes which are intended to be free DLC. So if you could spread the word about The Other Brothers coming April 4th, that would be really helpful and much appreciated. In other news, we are waiting anxiously for Apple to finish reviewing it and hope there will be no hiccups. This is the result of 4 people slaving away for 12 months for your thumb-related excitement Thanks all!
TOB just changed status from "In Review" to "Ready for Sale". Look out for it on April, 4th next week! Now it's 100% official that's it's coming that day
The guys at GDC kinda loved it so far! Hoping you guys will appreciate the controls as well. We're planning to support as many peripherals as possible in the next update (which we've already started on!) plus more content you don't actually have to pay extra for.
I'm gonna feel bad if you guys don't make good money on this. We need more developers who make and release a game we can buy straight up with no hidden costs.
Haven't been keepig up since it first got announced; glad it's been approved. Has it been announced what the price will be?
