I'm not joking, the lack of explosion physics is one of the major things lacking here. But there are a ton of other elements and effects that Powder Game has over and above this.
Have you seen how small the pixels on Powder Game Viewer? Not even a SUPER RETINA screen will make it okay No story mode, just weird custom one. The Sandbox is a top notch title with lots of updates to come (hopefully), PCV is a developer test game or entry title to the Appstore at best.. I don't care even if it has 400 free elements they all look and act pretty much the same THAT small.
Is anyone experiencing issues with achievements? Even though I'm sure I've achieved the following, the game doesn't recognise them as achieved: - drew more than 50,000 pixels. - drew more than 100,000 pixels. - played consecutively for more than 3 days. - got more than 30 elements. This last one I'm sure because I bought the all elements IAP. Anyone experiencing the same issues?
Okay, im stuck on the level with the lighthouse. I need mana to buy bulbs. You should get like, 10 mana every minute. Seriously.
The achievement for getting X day in a row NEVER worked, not even on the beta. The achievement draw more then X pixels worked for me fine, (I drew a lot on free mode) and for the 30 elements I didn't get there yet For enough money for the bulb either you have to be very cheap and for instance not buy dirt, or lava when you can, or play some free mode to get mana for the different achievements.
I installed it on a 4S and beat in less then 15 min with about 6000 mana left and didn't go to free mode at all, if anyone wants I can make a walkthrough for it. I do need more levels though, this game is so much fun!
Turns out the kids really enjoyed it, so I've been keeping it on my phone just for them. Since they tied their revenue directly to the materials, hopefully this will be incentive to add many more. It would be nice to see some animals/aquatic life as with the plants. I think they could have done a much better job with lightning than 'falling yellow squares that do nothing'. Just add some thunder sounds and make it a single bolt produced under a tap.
They plan to add humans and perhaps animals, perhaps via IAP. You are wrong about the lightning, put metal under a storm cloud and watch the sparks fly!
There are other ways to power objects (such as the power material, or creating a battery). Lightning really shouldn't be among them. Besides making little sense, it's a waste.
Why not? Lightning can't power stuff in real life? I think it's not a waist and it really adds to the atmosphere, few games go to such details, I don't think even the legendary Minecraft has lightning (but i'm not sure though). Can't wait for cool new updates!
On day 5 one of the challenges is to put "preasure" on the ashes. Should be pressure I'd be interested in seeing this. If I just buy the elements it feels like I'm kinda cheating when I should be trying to create these worlds from scratch, where possible.
Wow Grammar freak You are absolutely right! It is kinda like cheating so try to buy only the bare necessity. Since you are the first one asking for the walkthrough it makes me happy, but 1 isn't enough, if anyone else, 1-2 more people ask for it I will do it since it isn't an easy task and I do have other stuff to do. I remind you in this walkthrough you beat the game and have about 6000 mana left and you don't need to go to free play after level 7 since you already have enough mana for the light bulb. BZ
